Product Description

Kenmore — trusted in the homes of more than 100 million Americans

Spend less time doing laundry with the Kenmore steam front-load washer 41372 with the Accela-Wash™ option, which gives you the option of speeding up 7 of this washer's 10 cycles by up to 35%. This Kenmore washer has a built-in heater that produces steam to remove stains by deeply penetrating fabrics—it virtually eliminates the need to pre-treat stains. And it has an energy-saving option that you can use with the Normal and Heavy-duty cycles that lowers the wash temperature and increases the wash time, so clothes get clean using up to 30% less energy

The metallic Kenmore 4137 front-loading steam washer takes advantage of technologies such as Kenmore Connect™, which can troubleshoot some problems over the phone, and Smart Motion™, which uses motions such as rolling, tumbling, stirring and cradling, depending on the cycle you select. Its 1,2000 rpm maximum spin speed extracts water from garments so they need less drying, also saving energy. Sound insulation and an anti-vibration system keep this Kenmore top-rated front-load washer quiet, so you can install it near living areas and bedrooms.

Read what Consumer Reports says about the Kenmore and another brands.

  • The Kenmore 41373 3.7 cubic-foot steam front-load washer features Accela-Wash™, which gets clothes cleaner, faster by making select wash cycles up to 35% faster*
  • Steam Treat™ uses the power of steam to virtually eliminate the need to pre-treat stains
  • Kids Wear™ cycle tackles tough soils and stains and adds a second rinse to help protect sensitive skin
  • 10 wash cycles give you plenty of choices, so you can get each load as clean as it can be, while still pampering fabrics
  • The built-in water heater raises the water temperature for the Sanitize cycle
  • Maximum 1,200 RMP spin speed removes excess water from the load, so it dries faster

* Compared to an 8-pound load using Normal cycle without Accela-Wash feature activated

Wonderful Machine
I bought this Kenmore washer/dryer on an extraordinary sale ($649 each :) ) We've had these units in our apartment for two months now and they are amazing. There are more features than I could ask for or even use. The buttons feel solid, the chimes are a nice tone, and most importantly it gets the clothes clean. Right now we're using a mix of Tide w/ Fabreeze and Clorox2 and it's been great. I live on a second floor unit and our old stacked washer/dryer would shake the whole building. Not anymore! It handles large load exceptionally well, from bedding to two weeks of dress shirts and slacks. I'm really happy with it and highly recommend it. If you can find it on sale, buy it!

Inconsistent quality
The first one I purchased had a leak from day 1. I think it was only during the spin cycle. I could see drips of water coming from the middle of the bottom. Also, during initial filling, the start/stop of water intake is so violent that the pipes in my walls would bang and make loud noises. I thought my neighbor was banging on the wall till I realized it was the washer. The second one is working fine so far. no leaks, clothes/bedding come out clean as far as i can tell and they come out fairly dry already. But there is still the noise from the water intake/shut-off... no where as bad as before and it seemed more localized to the inlet hose instead of the whole pipes in the wall. I wrapped a towel around the hose so it wouldn't bang against the wall or washer. I thought about returning this one again but I got a good deal during labor day sale. and with 5 year protection, it came to $1k. Time will tell. Looks like some people had good machines and some got lemons... I'm experiencing somewhere in between.

When it starts, it slams on and off, on and off about six times before the actual washing starts. Then, when it spins, it vibrates terribly. Fixtures downstairs rattle and shake. It's horrible! I'm afraid my house is going to fall down. The spin is violent and the whole machine shakes! So I turn the spin down, and it vibrates worse. Seems to vibrate the worst on low spin. So I tried to put less clothes in it, and it vibrates just as bad. Sometimes its quieter than others, but there's no telling when. It's horrible. My poor house! I purchased six appliances on Black Friday and insisted on Kenmores. What a disaster! It's not so much that three of the machines were unsatisfactory, but that customer service didn't resolve the problem and replace the machines with satisfactory models!!!! And the tech said that the salesman need to stop selling front loaders to people who are going to use them on the second floor because wood floors are suppose to give and so therefore, they are going to shake and vibrate throughout the house. Horrible, horrible, horrible!!!!!

Very pleased

We've had this washer for 6 months now. Running probably half a dozen loads a week. We're very happy. It's much quieter than our previous 10yr old Kenmore. My wife likes some of the different washing options that the new model has.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Slow

The machine takes a long time to complete its cycles. It is finicky as well - the door has to close just right or else the machine won't start.

Disappointed!!!

Clothes never got clean... tried a variety of HE detergents and fabric softeners but athletic clothes and kitchen rags still smelled terrible after washing. Whites turned grey even though they were washed separately and with hot water. Wanted to give this machine the benefit of the doubt, but gave up after a few weeks and returned it for a top loader.
