Kenmore 3.6 cu. ft. Top-Load Washer - Convenient and Efficient
This efficient Kenmore 3.6 cu. ft. top-load washer 2210 features an exclusive Triple Action agitator that provides motion in three directions. While the base moves back and forth, the post moves up and down and clockwise. This provides more cleaning action to ensure your laundry is washed perfectly. With an impressive 12 cycles, including Bulky, Delicates and Deep Wash, this machine allows you to choose the best cycle for each specific load. A second rinse option ensures any leftover residue is removed, and the 700 RPM spin cycle helps extract water from clothes. Get cleaner clothes using less water and less energy with this Kenmore top-load washer.
- Combining wash basket motion, impeller rotation, and a burst of concentrated detergent, the Triple Action® agitator deep cleans fabrics while using less water.
- A small footprint makes this washer an easy fit for apartments, basements and starter homes, while powerful performance delivers the same clean you’d expect from larger machines.
- Multiple wash cycles give your hardy work clothes, delicate linens, and stained fabrics the treatment they need to look their best.
- Rapid spin speeds squeeze excess water from clothes, linens and more for faster, easier transfer to your dryer and shorter dry times.

For 35 years I have purchased Kenmore washers/dryers for 3 households and have been very satisfied. Last week I bought Kenmore model 23102 washer and am very dissatisfied. 1. Warm water is COLD. Cold water is cold as it should be; hot water is hot as it should be. 2. Water fills EXCRUCIATINGLY SLOW. 3. One day after delivery I called for service; was told had to wait 4 days. Why would Sears not prioritize immediate service on a new delivery? So I waited 4 days, then waited 3 days (taking off work) for technician to come. First he doesn't know where to look on the machine for the serial and model number. Then he finds it and starts to diagnose the washer. He immediately tells me this model WILL NOT FILL ANY FASTER, and that the WARM setting is just as it is. I say my other Kenmore that was just replaced gave WARM water that was warmer than cold and not as hot as hot. He tells me this model does not work that way. Essentially he's saying THERE IS NO WARM WATER TEMPERATURE. He says it works on a thermostat vs. older models mixed cold and hot water. He goes to his truck and comes back with a thermometer of some kind. He tests the "warm" water, then drops it in the water which killed it, so he couldn't actually verify the difference between the temperatures, but BOTTOM LINE HE SAYS THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE TO GET WARM WATER. Then he says this IS the warm setting in Florida, which is nonsense, because WARM on the previous washer and 2 other washers I have access to in friend's homes, give WARM water. I AM VERY UNHAPPY AND CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS MACHINE OR SEARS
Replaced an old Whirlpool with this about four months ago. At first the sounds were so different - it sounded like it was struggling to agitate. Called everywhere to ask if this is normal - no one could answer. They said "send it back and get a new one". Thought this was a total waste of time and $ on Sears end, but thats what I did. New one was just the same, so what could I say! Gets clothes clean - a good test is hanging towels on the clothes line. They felt like sandpaper with the old machine - this one must rinse better - they feel like towels should. The only negative is the basket will drain itself if you leave the lid open for too long - no way to soak overnight...But once I got used to the idiosyncrasies, its ok. Takes a little getting used to, esp. the agitator that sounds like a s-l-o-w creaky door.

I just received my new washer two days ago. (My old Kenmore died after 17 years) I have done 5 washes so far and am very pleased with the results. Takes a little longer to wash and sounds strange at times. But it was all told to me by my sales person and I read it in the manual. So far I am very pleased and hope it keeps on doing good by me.
We have had this machine replaced twice and finally are returning the last one for what we expect to be a full refund as we purchased the extended warranty and water service hoses as well. With each machine the enamel coating on the basket is chipping after the first wash. This in turn will result in the basket rusting. The machine being replaced was a Kenmore of the same basic feature type. It serviced our family beyond our expectations considering how much it was used. It is my opinion that something has changed in the current manufacturing process. The machine does clean clothes well, but is clear it will not hold up as well as it's predecessor.
After 3 months of use, the washer was giving me problems. The washer would start by itself. I decided to unplug it, plug it back in and I didn't touch the start button but it would start anyway. It also didn't fill correctly. The electronic board had to be replaced. I was told that they think it was from a power surge but my 17 year old washer never did this and we have lost power many times over the years. I have decided to put a power surge protector on the outlet and hope this will help. Sears warranty did repair my washer but I am worried that this will happen again.
I bought this washer and from the initial load was disappointed by the amount of noise that emitted from the machine at each point in the washing process. I was tempted to shut the door to the room I was in so I wouldn't hear it but don't think that would have helped much. I don't feel that anyone should be subjected to so much noise from a new appliance.
After reading the reviews, this is exactly what I expected. Sound (Noise): Same volume as my old washer (it does sound different). Lid: Locks when running, and I don?t like that, but they all do that now. Easy to pause, open lid, close and resume (cycle does not reset, but just continues). Selecting Cycle: This is a negative because, if you select the wrong cycle, you have to hold in the reset button to have it cancel. It then empty?s the water before you can start over. (If it is hot water, it seems a waste/expense) Look: Standard height and depth, perfect. Time to do a load: I always have it set for super and extra rinse, and it does seem to take longer than my old unit, but that?s a good thing in my book. Delivery: I had to call before going to bed to confirm and get my arrival time. They had my correct phone number, but never called, they just showed up. The unit was delivered at the tail end of the 2 hour window, and the men were clean, professional, and quick. They put it exactly where it needed to be, and did a good job hooking it up. Note on HE washers: I had ordered the HE model (canceled), but was actually grossed out when viewing YouTube videos on how HE works. HE washers barely use any water, and if you have something happen, like a baby spit up on you, I would think you would want as much water as possible during the wash. Though this unit has fancy movements, it is traditional in the fact that you select the water level, and use as much water as you deem appropriate.
I've always used a Kenmore, wouldn't own anything else!!! Clothes come out very clean and fresh, and not soaking wet, I like the clean washer cycle, I have pets and like to wash their bedding, leaving hair and lint behind, now I set my washer to clean washer cycle, and washer is clean and ready for our clothes,
This is a fabulous washer and I'm so pleased with its ability to even clean clothes that have come out rather grungy-looking time and again with my old washer. I replaced a 20 year old Kenmore washer that finally gave up the ghost one Saturday morning almost 2 weeks ago. It does take longer to wash loads with this machine but it's worth the wait. I'm not sure why some reviews are complaining so much about the time it takes because I'm not in such a hurry to just sit and wait for each load to finish...I have plenty of things to do in the meantime. The sounds are different but not annoying and, honestly, I think it's much quieter than my old washer. Such a great buy and I couldn't be happier!
Ok I personally do not write reviews just because lack of interest. But I have to this time. In a nut shell... it is not worth it even at half the price. I needed a simple but powerful machine. like my old basic Kenmore. As I found out the new basic Kenmore has a MUCH smaller motor, less mechanical and electrical hardware and a faulty programing protocol. I think the Generic washer could be brought up to speed simply by beefing up the programing and speeding up the cycles. As it stands, it is frustrating to watch it work!!! Needless to say, after one day of trial, this poor machine is going back.
