Kenmore 3.6 cu. ft. Top-Load Washer - Convenient and Efficient
This efficient Kenmore 3.6 cu. ft. top-load washer 2210 features an exclusive Triple Action agitator that provides motion in three directions. While the base moves back and forth, the post moves up and down and clockwise. This provides more cleaning action to ensure your laundry is washed perfectly. With an impressive 12 cycles, including Bulky, Delicates and Deep Wash, this machine allows you to choose the best cycle for each specific load. A second rinse option ensures any leftover residue is removed, and the 700 RPM spin cycle helps extract water from clothes. Get cleaner clothes using less water and less energy with this Kenmore top-load washer.
- Combining wash basket motion, impeller rotation and a burst of concentrated detergent, the Triple Action® impeller deep cleans fabrics while using less water.
- A small footprint makes this washer an easy fit for apartments, basements and starter homes, while powerful performance delivers the same clean you’d expect from larger machines.
- Multiple wash cycles give your hardy work clothes, delicate linens, and stained fabrics the treatment they need to look their best.
- Rapid spin speeds squeeze excess water from clothes, linens and more for faster, easier transfer to your dryer and shorter dry times.

Three days after I bought machine, the drum/basin malfunctioned during the spin cycle. I had to wring out my clothes by hand! Now the newly replaced washer (same make & model) the sensor is stuck in the spin cycle. Once again, unable to do my laundry, and I have to go back into the store to select different machine. Simply the WORST!!!! (dated 3/15/15)

Absolutely agree with the positive comments like DrFrank's. There are sounds similar to getting a car started in -30 degree weather and sounds associated with a washing machine you might never have heard before. Service and repair people recommended this unit. It replaced a terrific Kenmore washer that lasted 20 years. With the new technology, I'll be happy if this one lasts 10! I read all of the instructions and the clothes come out great every time.
I bought this washer a little over 6 months ago when my previous 20 year old washer died. I was told at Sears that I could still use my laundry packets with this washer but every time I used them I would have the run the cycle twice in order to get them dissolved and not stuck on my clothes. I tried to put the pack at the bottom of the washer before the clothes like the manual said but it still didn't make a difference. My clothes also don't come out clean. I have two young kids and I can put in their dirty clothes the same day on a casual cycle and they still come out dirty (and that is with pre-soaking and pre-treating them before placing them in the washer). My 20 year old washer did a better job of cleaning on a delicate cycle! Along with that, a cycle takes an hour to complete! I personally hate the locking lid because I can't wash out my laundry cap with the running water, which causes it to build up in the cap. It also takes a while for the lid to unlock if you have to pause the cycle for some reason. Very disappointed!
Not happy at all. Can't put a full load in. I use the 2nd rinse, otherwise the softner was still on the clothes ( I used 1/8 cup) and they don't smell clean. I was told today (by sears) that you can only wash 4 pairs of jeans at a time. So now I have to do 2 loads instead of one. How does that save water/energy? I'm sorry but 4 pairs of jeans is not what I consider a "full load". If it can't wash 4 pairs of jeans, how the heck is it going to wash a blanket/sheets?! I am calling tomorrow for them to come get this thing. People complained about the noise, but I use a laundry room and the door is usually shut. I can't hear it.
Bought it a year ago - working very well. It's a little noisy, but my laundry room is at the back of the house and it doesn't bother me. Love the bulky setting so I can wash blankets and sheets!
During college I had two roommates and one insisted on washing two weeks worth of clothing in our washer. This was a smaller in size washer with an agitator. Within 2 months the washer no longer spun. I replaced it with a similar used washer, same thing happened. Finally I went washer shopping, struggling with the size I should buy. I came across this washer that had so much to offer. It was smaller in size to fit my compact laundry room, yet could wash large loads without costing a fortune. I CAN HONESTLY SAY, IT IS THE BEST PURCHASE SO FAR!!!! Never has it had a problem with washing those 2 weeks worth of clothes, or large loads of towels. I love this washer. The deep wash cycle is wonderful and clothes come out spotless!! The different cycles really is convenient as I can finally put those hand wash items on drain/ spin cycle or bathing suits on the rinse/spin cycle. I would recommend this washer 100% It may not be a silent washer but it also isn't very loud. Clothes come out practically dry, cutting down the drying time! My electric bill and water bill have significantly reduced since this purchase!
My wife and I were very skeptical about buying this washer. The reviews were up and down. Some good some bad. Our old Kenmore was on it's last leg leaking in 3 different places and had been repaired many times over the years. We needed something dependable that would clean as its suppose to and hopefully save us some money on the water bill. I do believe we have found that in this washer. We are old school and really don't like change but the changes are coming and are probably here to stay. This machine has an agitator that works in 3 different way. The machine does use less water than the normal fill it up type. In some reviews it was said that the clothes were not even wet and the spinning cycle caused them to be so wrinkled that ironing wouldn't get them out. I think that's hog wash lol. The machine does make some strange noises that we aren't accustom to but don't be alarmed. It is suppose to. The machine weighs the clothes then adds the appropriate amount of water. If you read the simple quick start instructions you will not have any problems. Our clothes have come out wet , clean smelling , and not wrinkled beyond belief as another review stated. Bottom line is. My wife is very happy with it and that makes me happy ! Don't be afraid to buy this machine.
I couldn't be happier with this Washing Machine! It's extremely efficient, reasonably quiet, and gets clothes completely clean! The sensing feature takes no time to get used to. You can unlock the lid and add a garment if you need to--very easy to do and does not cause problems. It has many features and options and clothes come out so clean ! Spin cycle is great! It spins clothes so fast that when it is done, they almost feel dry! My drying time has been cut in half on all types of clothes!! Unbelievable !! A truly great machine !
After we had carefully leveled the machine, we were amazed at how much vibration and noise we got at the end of the spin cycle. And, yes we had balanced the load carefully. Called about the degree of play in the drum and the vibration. Rather than answering my question, they sent a service person, who said that lots of people call right after buying a new machine, but both the drum play & the noisy room shaking vibration were normal with the new systems they use. The machine does get the clothes clean, and has a great energy star rating-$11/year to operate w/gas water heating. So we're keeping it, but not doing wash later in the evening so as to not disturb the person on the other side of the wall of our duplex. Check with your electric provider to see if they have a rebate for this energy starred machine-ours does.
