I spent a full week looking at every infrared heater on ****** and anywhere else I could find them. There is an abundant amount of knockoffs out there, so it's nearly impossible. I bought this one to play it safe. Overall, this unit is very poorly constructed, though it does do it's job - for the most part. To tell you how thoroughly I researched these heaters, I had spreadsheets comparing all the prices, heating elements, features, etc. I'm just that kind of guy, or really bored, you choose. The pros: It puts out a LOT of heat. I keep reading reviews that say some put out none, and in the same review string, they put out plenty. I was considering a 6 element quartz one for this reason. However, the PTC elements seemed to last longer and I believe this is a PTC unit. Some sites say PTC is not true infrared, as it's not a bulb conducting light, it's heated ceramic plates. I haven't ran my hygrometer long enough to tell if this is in fact a unit that dries the air (non-infrared). This one does not list it's type or quantity of heating elements. It's thermostat is decently accurate. It's decently quite, actually, it's VERY quiet. It has PCO air sanitizer and a filter (possibly hepa?) The LCD display is very nice, the buttons reactive. The humidifier is a nice touch, but the size of it's tank and the fact you can't control the output makes it near useless. Take that as you will. Filtered water only, it's ultra sonic with no filter or deminarlizer. The cons (and why I feel conned) First off all, when it's running there is a BRIGHT red light it displays. We are talking fill up the room, brighter than a night light bright. I have a rabbit air purifier that literally has a mood light on it that is less bright. What makes this worse, it turns blue and FILLS your room. Google blue light therapy, blue light keeps you up. The paneling looks water damaged and the seems are coming apart, exposing particle board underneath - this is store bought unit, brand new. Looks like I got it from a garage sale. The placement of the water tank and lcd display means you can't use this as an end table, yet it's the size of one. The humidifier read no water for the first hour of operation for no reason, it was filled. I tried basic diagnostics, reseating, etc. The remote control is useless, you have to point it on the display located at the top of the unit. Final Verdict: I will be returning this and might as well buy a knock-off, because that's what this unit already is. Made in china, VERY poorly constructed, poorly designed and nearly 40% more in cost. It does put out a lot of heat, is quiet and has a decent thermostat. If you don't care it's ugly (because of the poor construction, not actual aesthetics) and those features are worth $200 to you, have at it. For $200, I want more than a basic quiet heater with a decent thermostat (~+/-2 degrees). I realllllyyyy wanted a unit with the UV PCO sanitizer, which this has. Oh well.
The one I got is there newer model #95375 it is a replacement for model #95203. I first bought #95203 it works GREAT heats really good and humidifies really good, so I wanted to but another one. All they had in stock was #95375 (I thought it was the same one). Brought it home it heats GREAT the humidifier would not work. I called Kenmore support and they said they were aware of the problem and sent me a part. It worked. Now the problem is that the tube leading from the water tank to the front of the unit gets plugged up with water and stops the vapor from coming out. So I have to tip it forward to drain the water out if the hose into a bucket. I raised the back end up so it for drain out on its own. I again called Kenmore support and told them of the problem, they said they were aware of that problem, but there is no fix for it, their suggestion was to take it back. I still have it. Why for Sears Kenmore replace a product of one that works GREAT with one that has problems and not figure out a way to fix it. STAY AWAY from this model #95375 if you can find the older model #95203 buy it.
This unit is comparable to the EdenPure Premiere but about $80 less. I paid an extra $33 for the extended warranty which the cashier told me extends the warranty to 5 years come to find out it is a three year extension. EdenPure provides a 5 standard 5 year warranty requiring no additional purchase. I've had this unit for all of 1 hour and wish I gone with my gut feeling of staying away based on reviews, the EdenPure has much better reviews. I now have to waste my time troubleshooting with Sears support or returning this unit. The unit is easy to operate and I like that all of the controls are on the top. I can definitely feel the unit heating my family room quickly and expect it may heat much, much more after it runs a bit longer, I've only had it on for about 20 minutes now. I am fairly sensitive to dry air which is why I bought this combo unit to make use of the humidifier. Low and behold if I had only heeded the warnings of the other reviews complaining about the humidifier, my unit too shows "add water" even though I can clearly see that the reservoir has water in it and the bottle is full. I have not detected any leakage at this time. I will be calling the toll free support line in the morning and will follow up on my review afterwards. I will not play the game of letting them replace this one, if it has to go back to the store I will not be leaving the store with another that's for sure. And if they have to ship me a part to fix it...again it will be going back to the store and I will not be leaving with a replacement. Don't waste your time or money.
This has been one of the coldest winters that I can remember. We had one Infrared heater that we had purchased from a Company that sales different supplies like lawn mowers and things for cattle. It is a well know name brand infrared heater, but it just couldn't do the job by its self this year. I got online and started searching for another infrared hearer. This is the one that I chose because it does a great job. I love it because iy has a air purifier and humidifier. I would recommed this to anyone
Right out of the box it has a crack in the water tank chamber but it does not change performance. Also first when using the humidifier it would leak from the drain plug but I fixed it by lubricating the plug with vasoline and reinserting. This also fixed the humidifier from randomly stopping.

We purchased this hoping to heat and humidify our living room. We have had three different units and all three have had issues with the humidifier. The first unit had a cracked inside compartment (where water is kept). It kept reading "add water" even when the water bottle was full and in place. The second one worked great but leaked water all over the floor when the humidifier was running! When I called the 800 number on the unit they said that they would send me a replacement screw which never came (it has been three weeks). The third unit has almost the same issue as the first. The heater works great as a supplemental heat source for our living room. I am planning to return the unit once again and get the heater with no humidifier...very disappointed.
The specs and functions of this heater/humidifier/air cleaner looked great. I was excited with the prospect of replacing our standalone humidifier in our bedroom, as well as not running our expensive heat pump. Unfortunately, I had to return this heater. The plastic surrounding the humidifier bottle was broken into several pieces (over torqued? dropped?) so I wasn't going to risk trying out the humidifying function. The heat generated was quite good; the fan was nearly silent. On the lowest setting (500W), it kept our large bedroom at 64F for $0.07 / night ($0.021/kWh * 10 hours). Even if the plastic hadn't been broken, I still would have returned the unit due to a couple of design "features". The first is the operation lights. When the heater is on and generating heat, a bright RED light is illuminated. No big deal; red light doesn't travel very far in the dark. But when the heater is cooling down, which it does from time to time as it cycles off and on to maintain temperature, a BLUE lamp is illuminated...which subsequently lights up a previously darkened room like a night-crew construction site. It actually woke me up the first night it was so bright. The second flaw is that the LCD screen uses a blue back-light that is insanely bright. I could ignore that feature if the buttons themselves were back-lighted, but they're not. In a dimly lit room, it wasn't possible to make out which buttons were which without shielding my eyes from the blinding LCD back-light. Given its shortcomings, I would not recommend using this heater in a bedroom. It would be great for a living room or any other room in which darkness is a priority.
