This Kenmore combination wall oven is exactly what I expected. It was easy to install. It contains all the features we need to cook. It looks great in our kitchen.
I've had this combo for about 2 weeks and thus far am very pleased! I purchased this item before reading reviews. After reading the reviews, I was surprised to read the complaints about fan noise, as I can hear the fan when standing right in front of it, but it is certainly not loud. The oven cooks evenly, preheats faster than my previous oven and honestly, I have no complaints. I did read in the manual that while broiling, you must leave the oven door cracked open, which I thought was strange, but maybe that's what caused the glass to shatter for the other customer. I'll update if anything goes haywire, but for now, I couldn't be happier with our purchase.
We read the reviews on this model, and even though some of the reviewers were not happy, we took into account that everyone has different ideas of how a appliance should perform and sound. This is our third unit, the first two were GE's. When we read reviews complaining about the fan noise to cool off the oven we wondered if it was really all that loud. Our new unit was installed, and guess what, its the quietest one of the three we've ever had. The Microwave is even quieter, and we can barely hear it to know its even on! The micro wave cooks a little faster since it has a higher cooking wattage. The oven heats quickly, and the fan doesn't stay on all that long, and is barely audible. Having had these units for over twenty years we can compare the differences from experience. So far this unit is a vast improvement over the last two we had. Its also beautiful, looks great, has a solid quality feel to it, and is clean, sleek, and performs beautifully. So far we're very happy with it. Will post further if needed.

My husband and I have twice, in an approximately two-year period, had a very disturbing incident involving this oven. Those two incidents involved the entire glass front of the oven surface forcefully shattering all over the kitchen floor and adjacent room. When the first incident occurred, the company promptly replaced the glass front, and assured us that the incident was an aberration. When the second incident occurred, the representative reported that someone would come to our home to replace the glass, but that we were ?twenty days out of warranty.? He or she will come today. It is clear to me, a non-engineer, that the nature of the design is hugely flawed and very dangerous. Others of my friends have Kenmore ovens. While their handles meet a secure oven metal piece, our handle meets nothing but glass front surfacing. A heating temperature of as little as 350 degrees resulted in this near tragedy. While I have always been satisfied with Kenmore products, THIS OVEN IS A RISK TO YOU, YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR COMPANION ANIMALS.
Love this oven/microwave unit. I read reviews and everyone complained the fan was loud i have not witnessed this.Everything about it is easy to use.Looks great in my kitchen.
WE LOVE THIS OVEN. IT LOOKS STYLISH AND IS QUIET. IT BLENDS IN VERY NICELY WITH THE LOOK THAT WE WANT IN OUT NEW HOME. WE WILL BE PURCHASING MORE NEW APPLIANCES FROM SEARS. WE THOUGHT GE AT FIRST, BUT NOW WITH ALL THE SALES FOR KENMORE WE WILL STICK WITH KENMORE.

I searched a lot to find the more reliable/affordable combination wall oven to fit my kitchen space and decided to go with Kenmore due to my passed positive experience with Kenmore product.
I complained about the sound level being just barely auditable and was sent a new control board. Mike Shadley of anchor river appliance repair tested the sound and agreed that it was really quite. I helped him slide the unit out of the wall and he changed out the control board. We tested the sound prior to sliding the unit back into the wall and it sounded louder but after it was back in the wall it sounded the same as it did prior to the swap out. Mike surmises that since this microwave was originally built as a counter top unit the sound level would be ok. But once it was adapted to top of a wall oven and since the sound comes from the side of the unite inside the wall it is muffled to a much lower sound level.

We purchased this wall oven microwave combination when we bought our house last year. It worked fine until last week. The electric board that controls the oven controls failed, it cost $342 to fix!! Don't buy this oven.
