Kenmore 25.2 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator - Flexible Storage

This Kenmore side-by-side refrigerator 4115 offers adjustable shelves and large door bins to organize all your fresh and frozen groceries. Use the temperature-controlled bin to hold foods that keep well under slightly warmer temperatures, such as baby greens or cheese. This refrigerator also includes crisper bins, ideal for keeping produce fresh. In the freezer, you'll find in-door storage and several shelves, plus a pull-out bin. Complete with spill-proof shelves and LED lighting, this 25.2 cu. ft. side-by-side refrigerator provides flexible food storage options.

  • Adjusting to suit produce, desserts, meats, cheese and more, the temperature controlled convertible bin adapts to your grocery list with a quick swipe of the control.
  • Spacious, tight-sealing and designed to control humidity, Kenmore crisper drawers deliver fresh, crunchy fruit and vegetables, so you can stock up on produce.
  • Gallon door bins easily hold jugs, bottles and gallon containers to help clear the shelves and give you space to stock up.
  • Spill-proof tempered glass shelves keep drips, drizzles and spills from spreading throughout the fridge, making cleanup fast and easy.
  • Diamond LED lighting uses less space than incandescents while delivering the bright illumination you need.

Noisy
This refrigerator is a rebadge of the Whirlpool WRS325FNAM. I bought this refrigerator to replace a 30 year old GE top freezer refrigerator that was still working, but I wanted the energy savings and lower noise. I also didn't want a water/ice dispenser taking up valuable freezer space, and this model was the largest of the kind that would fit thru my kitchen door. After a month, I'm pleased at the drop in my electricity bill. But this refrigerator is noisy - it's actually noticeably louder than the 30yr old GE fridge that it replaced. I'm surprised at some reviews that say "this model is so quiet you don't know it's running" - they either have background noise drowning this fridge out, their hearing isn't that sensitive, or there is a lot of variability in noise from unit to unit that accounts for reviews saying this model is both quiet and loud. My unit was Made In Mexico, March 2014 (same month it was delivered). I'll echo the other reviews that say the shelves are weak and have a cheaper feel to them. So I've been more careful with them than with my old GE fridge (i.e. "they don't make them like they used to."). As a side note, the equivalent Whirlpool model has different design plastic bins that go into the refrigerator door than the Kenmore - the Kenmore is clear plastic while the Whirlpool has white trim and a frosted design on the bottom. Both Whirlpool demo units I saw in-store already had cracks on the bottom of the plastic bins, so I'm hoping the Kenmore design is slightly stronger. The freezer temp control **** had a clunky feel to it, and when I looked more into it, it turns out all it does is mechanically control a small vent between the freezer and refrigerator sides. So basically, you lower the freezer temp by opening the vent more. I can see the vent closing and opening when I turn the ****, and it is pretty inaccurate...depending on how you turn the ****, the vent will be open a different amount on the same **** setting. The stainless steel doors aren't the smudge-proof kind, so keep in mind that fingerprints will be harder to wipe off. Magnets do stick to them, despite the salesman saying otherwise. I like the LED lighting...has gradual-on effect and is bright. Would've liked one more light on the freezer side, but then again, my old GE fridge didn't have any light in the freezer. The LEDs aren't user-replaceable, but barring premature failure, should last the life of the fridge. Overall, I'm pleased with the look and energy savings of the unit. If it lasts long enough to pay for itself, I'll be happy.

Love my new Kenmore refrigerator!

I just got my new side by side Kenmore and I love it! No ice maker! Yeah! These are hard to find and since we don't use the ice maker anyway, this gives us more room. The last Kenmore was just like this only a tiny bit larger(they don't even make it anymore)It finally gave out after 14years! Not bad!

Purchase of Kenmore 25.2 cubic feet side by side refrigerator

The item I purchased was a good value and has a lot of extra room in the freezer without the ice and water maker in the door.

Low Quality

My 20 year refrigerator died. It was like the other refrigerators I owned or used. It cooled the interior and near the end the motor made more noise then it did early on. I had this new Kenmore refrigerator delivered from Sears. The motor on this refrigerator is quiet but often when the door was closed there was cracking and popping noises coming from the side of the unit. Also after closing the door there was a hissing sound which is probably air moving through the seal. I've never owned a refrigerator that made any sounds like this. A technician sent by Sears came to look at it. He said that he didn't know what was causing the sounds. I mentioned that the unit wasn't completely level. He said that I should level it and he left. I leveled the unit and this made no difference. I had a replacement of the same unit delivered and I am having the same noise issues. Another technician came to work on my dishwasher that was damaged during installation. I asked him about the refrigerator and he said that the expansion and contraction of the styrofoam insulation in the side of the refrigerator causes the cracking and popping noises. Based on having two of the same units delivered and having the same issues, I have to conclude that the design, construction, and manufacturing of this model is subpar. Every other refrigerator I have ever used is better than this model.

Great Fridge!

After 8 months, we started having things spoil too early. I bought some cheap dial thermometers for the freezer and refrigerator sections. The both show temps too high. I have called Sears to have them come out and it is taking a week. Had to rent a fridge and Sears will not reimburse for the rental. Old fridge never had a problem until after 20 years of use. Not built to last. Mechanical problems!

Affordable quality

Unit is priced fairly. No frills. Made by Whirlpool which is a big plus over the GE model that this is replacing. The GE was ****. Hoping this Kenmore/Whirlpool is better. Only had for two weeks. So far...aok.

So far so good on this refrigerator

Really appreciate a model w/o an ice maker: more freezer room comes in handy.

Good purchase

Its only been a few weeks since we purchased this fridge, however, we haven't had any problems with in. Seems alot more roomy compared to the regular fridge we had before. Had to move one of the crispers up so 2 crispiers can be used as 2 different shelves. Good fridge for a great price.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great sale price, but.....

I wanted a stainless steel fridge & this one was on sale with additional savings. At the store I was told the freezer had an ice maker installed. When I received the fridge it had the "Hook-up capability" for an ice maker. I went to the store and the sales rep. said for an additional $125 I could have it installed. Other than that MAJOR disappointment.....I like the fridge for it's price. There is a fridge with the same features for the same sale price, but it has an ice/water dispenser on the freezer door. I was not a fan of this feature due to past experience. Just an FYI for those who might consider this fridge with that option.

Love my new fridge.

Very large and spaceous. It was hard to find a side by side without an icemaker. This is a beauty, highly recommend. Some of the other reviews indicated it is loud, must be the one with the icemaker because this one purrs like a kitten.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Doors won't stay open

Overall, we are satisfied with our purchase. We purchased this particular model because it is the ONLY side by side refrigerator without an ice maker in the door. The door bins and the crisper bins and deli drawer are cheap plastic and unfortunately, I don't expect them to last long. We did move the deli drawer up in order to gain the extra shelf (using the top of the crisper). The freezer is very roomy, but because the refrigerator shelves do not fit flush to the frame, a lot of space is lost on every shelf, making the refrigerator side quite small. Our biggest complaint is that the doors will not remain wide open when you are attempting to load groceries into the refrigerator or attempting to clean it. You can push the door so that it is wide open, and it will swing right back, which is quite annoying to me. We ordered the black model. We are still trying to get the plastic wrap off in places.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
