Kenmore 25.2 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator - Flexible Storage

This Kenmore side-by-side refrigerator 4115 offers adjustable shelves and large door bins to organize all your fresh and frozen groceries. Use the temperature-controlled bin to hold foods that keep well under slightly warmer temperatures, such as baby greens or cheese. This refrigerator also includes crisper bins, ideal for keeping produce fresh. In the freezer, you'll find in-door storage and several shelves, plus a pull-out bin. Complete with spill-proof shelves and LED lighting, this 25.2 cu. ft. side-by-side refrigerator provides flexible food storage options.

  • Adjusting to suit produce, desserts, meats, cheese and more, the temperature controlled convertible bin adapts to your grocery list with a quick swipe of the control.
  • Spacious, tight-sealing and designed to control humidity, Kenmore crisper drawers deliver fresh, crunchy fruit and vegetables, so you can stock up on produce.
  • Gallon door bins easily hold jugs, bottles and gallon containers to help clear the shelves and give you space to stock up.
  • Spill-proof tempered glass shelves keep drips, drizzles and spills from spreading throughout the fridge, making cleanup fast and easy.
  • Diamond LED lighting uses less space than incandescents while delivering the bright illumination you need.

The 25.2 cu ft is actually the same refrigerator as the 25.0
I was told by the clerk at Sears that the 25.0 and the 25.2 are one in the same refrigerator. You can check the reviews for the 25.0 for more opinions. The specifications do not mention a door alarm. This unit does not include a door alarm, so make sure you close them! Refridgerator portion: I just received the fridge 2 days ago. Two of the door bins did not fit so I called today and I am waiting for a response from Sears. The problem is that only one side can be pushed down into place, the other side will not snap down. I have it now set so the neither side snaps down so that at least the bin in level. So far it's holding, and seems to be stable. As the specs mention, the doors are smooth, but the sides have a rigged surface. The specs also mention that the shelves are adjustable, but this is misleading. There are 3 brackets to place the shelves, but only 2 shelves. The brackets themselves cannot be moved, but you can place two of the shelves in any combination. The bottom shelf is attached to the top drawer, and cannot be moved. Three of the four bins located in the door can be adjusted. The unadjustable door bin is located at the bottom. In addition, the door also includes a space to hold butter (and other small items), located at the top of the door. Freezer portion: There is a small shelf at the top for ice and other small items. Additionally there are 4 slatted shelves and one bin at the bottom. I have found no other unit on the market without an icemaker (which is not built in). For that reason I would recommend it, if you would prefer no ice-maker.

Noisy
This refrigerator is a rebadge of the Whirlpool WRS325FNAM. I bought this refrigerator to replace a 30 year old GE top freezer refrigerator that was still working, but I wanted the energy savings and lower noise. I also didn't want a water/ice dispenser taking up valuable freezer space, and this model was the largest of the kind that would fit thru my kitchen door. After a month, I'm pleased at the drop in my electricity bill. But this refrigerator is noisy - it's actually noticeably louder than the 30yr old GE fridge that it replaced. I'm surprised at some reviews that say "this model is so quiet you don't know it's running" - they either have background noise drowning this fridge out, their hearing isn't that sensitive, or there is a lot of variability in noise from unit to unit that accounts for reviews saying this model is both quiet and loud. My unit was Made In Mexico, March 2014 (same month it was delivered). I'll echo the other reviews that say the shelves are weak and have a cheaper feel to them. So I've been more careful with them than with my old GE fridge (i.e. "they don't make them like they used to."). As a side note, the equivalent Whirlpool model has different design plastic bins that go into the refrigerator door than the Kenmore - the Kenmore is clear plastic while the Whirlpool has white trim and a frosted design on the bottom. Both Whirlpool demo units I saw in-store already had cracks on the bottom of the plastic bins, so I'm hoping the Kenmore design is slightly stronger. The freezer temp control **** had a clunky feel to it, and when I looked more into it, it turns out all it does is mechanically control a small vent between the freezer and refrigerator sides. So basically, you lower the freezer temp by opening the vent more. I can see the vent closing and opening when I turn the ****, and it is pretty inaccurate...depending on how you turn the ****, the vent will be open a different amount on the same **** setting. The stainless steel doors aren't the smudge-proof kind, so keep in mind that fingerprints will be harder to wipe off. Magnets do stick to them, despite the salesman saying otherwise. I like the LED lighting...has gradual-on effect and is bright. Would've liked one more light on the freezer side, but then again, my old GE fridge didn't have any light in the freezer. The LEDs aren't user-replaceable, but barring premature failure, should last the life of the fridge. Overall, I'm pleased with the look and energy savings of the unit. If it lasts long enough to pay for itself, I'll be happy.

Love our new refrigerator

Our old refrigerator was 25 years old, noisy, water and ice build up in bottom freezer, etc. This new one just has a gentle hum. Have to listen to hear if it is going! Also, with all the clear shelves and drawers, it is so easy to see if anything is needed at the store without even opening the drawers. No outside coils in the back to dust, everything is enclosed. No tray on the bottom to empty, it evaporates. Door shelves are very roomy. Inside shelves are made so items cannot be pushed all the way back to stop air flow. Love the stainless steel look that is so shiny and easy to wipe down. So happy we got this new refrigerator.

Best fridge

I have had this refrigerator for a few months now. I LOVE it! It seems to be one of the few, if not, only side by side models that does not have an ice maker. I didn't want one as they take up too much room. This fridge has plenty of space. And I got it at a great price!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Just Received - Preliminary Review

Just a quick preliminary review. The appliance was first plugged in less than an hour ago, so we're waiting for the cooldown... wiping things off, removing tape and packaging, etc. For the folks mentioning the omission of 1 fridge shelf: If you move the "deli drawer" UP one slot (and the remaining shelves up), you do end up with 4 shelves. (Plus, the deli drawer, plus the two crispers/bins.) Moving the deli drawer up allows the top of the upper crisper to be used as a shelf! Problem solved! I do think that 1 extra door shelf would be nice. I'll be ordering one of those, definitely. And maybe an extra freezer wire shelf... but that remains to be seen. I can't wait to load 'er up! :)

I would recommend this product to a friend.
