  • A full-width, gourmet pantry drawer stores party platters, pizzas, pies, trays and more while clearing shelf space for better organization and easier storage.
  • Spacious, tight-sealing and designed to control humidity, Kenmore crisper drawers deliver fresh, crunchy fruit and vegetables, so you can stock up on produce.
  • Advanced Air Flow uses strategically placed vents to balance cool air throughout the entire refrigerator, so even the items on the door stay cool.
  • Spill-proof tempered glass shelves keep drips, drizzles and spills from spreading throughout the fridge, making cleanup fast and easy.
  • Genius Cool™ features dual evaporators that cool your refrigerator and freezer separately to help eliminate wilted lettuce and freezer-burned ice cream.

Not perfect, but a great refrigerator for this price point.
We bought this refrigerator because our old Kenmore was 15 years old and we wanted to delegate it as a garage refrigerator while while we transition our kitchen to stainless. This has a real stainless front as magnets will not adhere to it. The grey sides are regular steel however. We got this for a price we could not pass up and it was on Consumer Reports list as a good choice. It's quiet, looks nice and has more space than most refrigerators in this category due to the fact that the ice maker is NOT in the door. It's in the freezer (where it belongs) and takes up very little space. Old-school perhaps, but easy to replace and will likely keep this fridge trouble free. The fewer electronic boards on appliances the better IMHO. The doors are harder to close than standard refrigerators but thankfully it has an alarm that beeps after 30 seconds as a friendly reminder. It also helps me know when the kids are just standing there staring into it's vastness pondering what to eat. The only other issue is that refrigerator door shelves don't offer as much adjustability as the could. We have a ton of condiments and it was a chore figuring out how to fit them all in. Sometimes pulling them in and out is tight too. A gallon of milk fits but it was such a struggle we delegated it to the top shelf instead. I really like the freezer on the bottom since we access the fridge more often, we never have to bend over to find things. The other benefit to this new eye level convenience is that we're more like to use our leftovers simply because we can see they are in there. I can't tell you how many times we've found foot tucked away in the depths of our standard fridge simply because it was blocked from view! Overall, this is a good refrigerator especially for what we paid for a model like this. We've had for about 6 months and my wife really likes it too. Which quite frankly matters most!

Beware of design problem
We've had the refrigerator almost two years now. We really like the bottom freezer with its easily accessible space. It is also very efficient - our electric bills dropped ~10% when we replaced our 18 yr. old model. However, you should be aware of a problem with the french doors on the refrigerator section. In the gasket at the top of each door there is a small plastic hook that helps keep the door closed. The problem is one of those hooks broke off after about 18 months. The repair necessitated replacing the entire door gasket at a cost of $125. The repairman indicated this is a common problem (my sister's similar model had the same issue) that could be avoided by opening or closing the french doors one at a time. Evidently when they are opened/closed together there is not enough room for both hooks to swing free so the plastic gets stressed and eventually breaks. It would have been nice to know this when we bought the refrigerator, so we could avoid the problem in the first place. I'm confident that we can prevent a recurring problem, but knowing what I do now, I'd probably choose a model with a different style door gasket in the first place.

Nice, large refrigerator

We have had this refrigerator for only about two weeks, but so far we like it. It holds a lot and has easy accessibility. The freezer drawer is large and holds a lot more than I thought it would. It runs quietly, which we like. The temperature seems to be steady.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Best fridge ever!

Perfect in every way! The amount of space in both the fridge and freezer is remarkable. The led lighting is fantastic. The extra drawer is very convenient, and the two crisper drawers hold a lot! I love that you can see everything when you open the doors.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great refrigerator

Purposely bought a fridge without ice maker. Good decision. Without it, this fridge is a low energy consumer and there's lots more room. Also, there's one less thing to go wrong, as often it's the ice-maker that breaks. There's a very large ice container in the freezer that holds all we could possibly want. Very quiet operation. Lots of space. Love being able to put Thanksgiving leftovers inside without having to do major space maneuvers. Love being able to view fridge contents without moving everything around. Entire family thinks this is a wonderful improvement in our kitchen. This fridge seems to keep foods colder than our old model without running all the time. We had to cut down an overhead cabinet to make space for this fridge, but we were happy that we did that. Even though it involved more expense, it was well worth the pleasure of having this fridge. That's how much we like it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great Fridge

This fridge works great. We like that the ice maker is hidden inside the freezer rather than on the door. Makes the front a much sleeker look. Would definitely recommend.

Roomy and quiet

This fridge fit in roughly the same space as our old one but is much deeper which makes a huge difference. The pull out bottom drawer is more practical than the swing type door on the previous fridge, as ours is near the kitchen door. The double doors work well if you go in the fridge a lot - like putting the milk in a door pocket - because you are not letting all the cold air out like with a single large door. Be careful though as there is a special springed attachment to the left door that is part of the sealing mechanism that we were warned is 600 bucks to replace if you close the door with the attachment sticking out (shouldn't happen in normal use). The shelves slide out a little which might be useful to shorter people. The pump motor is noticeably quieter. Looking forward to smaller electricity bills, and also the rebate you can get from Edison for buying an energy efficient fridge! The only negative so far is that fridge magnets will not stick to the front of this fridge! It is a brushed aluminium cover, I think, so all those photos and mementos etc you have on your old fridge will have to go somewhere else, or find another way to attach them.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
