I am very disappointed that I will have to buy new cookie pans to fit into this oven. Seems that the new oven racks are not flat at the back of the oven, meaning that a normal cookie sheet will not fit, causing me to lose about 2 inches. Oven seems to work well, kind of cheap looking, not built as well as I expected for the price.

great deal for the money replaced old Kenmore wall oven with new one was easy to install had to get right gas fitting at hardware store. been installed a few weeks now no problems cooks fast and evenly great deal for the $

The good part, and what keeps my rating from being "poor" - the oven part seems to work just fine, though the controls are a bit clumsy, requiring more than a single operation to start cooking. I replaced an oven that was about 35 years old (that's half my age) with this one, so my idea of how an oven is supposed to work may be different from that of today's cook. I used the broiler in my old oven quite frequently. I turned the temperature control **** to "Broil" and the burner came on and stayed on until I turned it off. In this oven, once the oven heats up, the burner cycles off and on at about 1 minute intervals. During those "off" periods, you're not broiling you're baking. Chicken breasts that took 5-6 minutes per side in my previous oven take twice that long per side in this oven to cook through, and because there's less radiant heat, they don't brown on the surface. What's odd is that when I returned to the store after having tried the oven for a few days to complain about this broiler problem, the sales person said that didn't sound right, asked a few others, and we had about five people from the appliance department all who said they had never heard about that and, aftem making a phone call (I don't know to whom), concluded that they should send out a service technician to fix the problem. When the tech arrived and I demonstrated the problem to him, he, too, said that he had never seen an oven that cycled the broiler, though he admitted that he was unfamiliar with this model. He did say that this oven had a "false broiler" (his words) because there was only one burner, not a separate one at the top for broiling. Anyway, he called back to his shop for advice, the person he spoke with there didn't know if it was normal, but he, in turn, called the manufacturer (Frigidaire). The support person there told us (the tech had switched his phone to speaker mode) that this was indeed normal for this oven, to prevent the box from getting too hot and starting a fire. Funny, but in more than 30 years using my old oven, there was never a fire. To Sears' credit, they were willing to swap the oven with another model, for only the difference in cost between the ovens. But after some research, both among ovens that Sears sells and other brands, I learned that all of them in this same size and class work the same way. The work-around is to leave the oven door partially open. This will keep the box cool enough so that the temperature sensor doesn't tell the thermostat to turn off the burner. However, there's still the problem of not much radiant heat, so things still don't get browned. Maybe everyone (but the Sears appliance sales staff, apparently) knows that ovens work this way, but I think it's just crazy. I'm keeping the oven because I need one. But I guess I'll need to find another broiling technique when it's too cold to grill outside.
this is my second time with this oven..last one worked great for almost 15 yrs. I liked some of the options on older oven better than new one. The timer on the first oven would beep until you shut it off but this new one beeps once and that's it! Should you be in another room you are out of luck!
I have been baking bread for decades and never understood the need for extras like dual-fuel, convection, or steam injection. Just gimme gas--I can create my own steam with a tray of boiling water on the lower shelf. This oven is very basic and simple to operate. And I love the separate broiler underneath! It is really powerful. I can get a perfect gratin in 5 minutes.

Found this at sears for a great price, and it arrived quickly. It also arrived with a leaky gas shut-off valve. After installing and doing a test preheat, our home filled with gas and we knew something was wrong. We found the leaky valve, and contacted sears. They didn't offer to send a repairmen for two weeks. Not acceptable. After several un satisfying phone calls to a national call center (no one at our local store bothered to answer the phone all day) we decided to return the oven and order a different brand from a different store.
Great engineering idea by putting gas connection on the bottom of the gas oven when you have install in a cut-out cabinet. There is a reason why it called ?Wall? Gas Oven. Pain to install.
Too bad it sat in my garage for over a month before it could be installed and during that time the price went down $300. Thought about taking it back but it was too late. Some problems with fitting for gas but otherwise it was easy to install, heats well. Smaller broiler than my old Caloric but ok.
