I thought I'd save a little money going with this model - it was in store/in stock and had a plastic tub rather than the stainless steel tub. I have now had this item for almost a year as of July 2014. The interior is cheap plastic and had I to do it over, would have spent extra and bought top of the line. I expected more for the $499 I spent on this however - The 1 hour cycle leaves the dishes still DIRTY AND WET after a full hour of cleaning. Often times I have to rearrange and run the dishes through a second and sometimes third 1 hour cycle. The other cycle choices are 1. Smart Wash 2. Pots and Pans 3. Normal Wash. These choices cycle for several hours (at least 2 or more). Then there are the other choices which don't work either: Sani Wash (doesn't work), Heated Dry (useless) and others ... It's hard to believe that this so called energy saving appliance is not actually energy saving at all. Quite frankly, it's a waste of money and the only thing I saved is the $500 I SHOULD have spent toward another product. Worst ever - don't buy it! I wish I could send it back.
I was upgrading my 10 year old diswasher and wanted a stainless steel dishwasher. After reading several reviews and researching this particular product, I decided to go with this one. I am so glad that I decided to go with this dishwasher as the quality, price and all that it has to offer are excellent!

We bought this dishwasher a year and a half ago, and the motor just went out on it. It costs almost as much as buying the same dishwasher again to replace the motor, per the repair man. It is true that they don't make things like they used to. IF you buy this dishwasher, BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. We wish we would have bought the warranty.

Item never worked properly it would randomly leave a flooded dishwasher. Dishes never came out clean and have called sears multiple times to fix we washed by hand last three years as the warranty and service never worked! I just ordered a may tag top of the line model last week sears is delivering today I will no longer by any ken more products and I have been an all kenmore guy so sick that they are hauling away a dishwasher that was barely used a total waste of money burning the cash would have been more resourceful as at least It would have warmed me up for a few moments! Imagine buying a dishwasher and having to wash the dishes manually 90% of the time because the unit was always broken or not working properly. Again we had sears come to repair and plumbers check the lines and problem never went away it would work once or twice then break! Praying to god the new maytag works well.
I ordered it on line for the best price of $300 with in store pick up and it was ready for pick up sooner than they said. My dishes come out clean and I can barely hear it when it's on. I used to have to talk louder when I had my old dishwasher. The only thing is that you need to buy the compr hose fitting separately. Took my husband longer to install it with a trip to the store. I have all Kenmore aplienses and they never fail me.

This dishwasher is terrible, our first one had defects in the stainless steel so sears had to come back out and replace it. Then we find out this dishwasher hardly drys your dishes at all, they come out soaked. If you read other reviews you will see other people have had the same issues with wet dishes. We then tried to get this model replaced with a different one and even though we were within the 30 days satisfaction grantee Sears still wanted to charge us a cost for removing the defective dishwasher. DO NOT BUY!!! THIS IS WHY SEARS IS GOING OUT OF BUSINESS AND I LIKE SO MANY OTHERS WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE AGAIN.
