Very Pleased
This dishwasher is very quiet though you can hear it some. It would be fine for an open space. It is quieter than my niece's Bosch at 52 db. A full load is quieter. No out of sync noises that can be irritating. Draining is only noticeable in the sink drain. The door is easy to open and close and stays in the position you leave it rather than slamming shut. Easy to change upper rack position with the two levers. I have found that it is not necessary to use the heat dry. Any cup or glass not tilted on its side is going to have a few drops of water on it even with the heat dry. Just open the door, take a dishtowel, and press on tops of cups. Some reviews amaze me what they expect a dishwasher to do. It has manual filter clean and no food disposer which makes it quieter. Therefore, I don't know how it would do if you leave large food waste to dry on dishes and expect the dishwasher to make it disappear. I usually don't have dried on food or at least scrape dishes before but tested it on plates with egg ketchup & mustard baked in the microwave. All came out clean on Normal cycle including flatware smeared with cream cheese. The flatware holders hold my very thick handled flatware to my surprise. This actually turned into a feature that I really like. Load from the front with spoons cupped forward. Racks are tall enough to hold stemware without lowering the top rack. It must be the tall tub. Stemware holders help. I have not used the turbo zone yet but it is a nice feature. Stouffer's makes better lasagna than I do. This model was on sale at a very attractive price and its sister that did not have the turbo zone, easy lower top rack and stemware holders. The difference was just $40 so I went for all the bells and whistles. The cycles and options cover every possible situation you may have. I rate it much higher up the scale than **************** did. Take CR reviews with a grain of salt. I am glad I did. Very pleased and delivery and installation bundle was well worth it. I didn't have to worry about a thing and you don't have to pay tax on the installation making picking it up and installing it yourself a questionable move. The install people were great going above the call of duty fixing a previous hook up that was strange and would not have worked with any new dishwasher.

I HATE THIS DISHWASHER
This dishwasher does not hold enough dishes to worry about washing. My previous dishwasher (a Maytag) could hold large cookie sheets on the sides of the bottom, but this one is too low between racks. If I fill the bottom with plates, then slide the rack in, all the plates fall forward against each other making it impossible to clean them, So I have to reach in and stand them up again. My dessert bowls or small salad bowls do not fit conveniently, and I can only get about 4 of them in the dishwasher in the space that should hold 10 or 12. The glasses in the top rack keep falling over, and do not fit nicely in the place they should go. There is very little flatware space. The designated places to hold individual forks or spoons are too narrow for the handles of my flatware, and my flatware handles are not unusually wide. Don't waste time on the Turbo Jet Feature. When you set something back there, you lose space where other things could go. And it takes several hours to wash using the turbo jet setting. I only use the one-hour wash because I dont have time for a 4-hour wash since the other half of the dishes are waiting their turn. The one hour wash is not energy efficient but I just cant do this all night long. This machine will not hold a 9 x 13 baking pan standing on the side because the space is only about an inch and a half instead of two inches. I did not have high blood pressure until I bought this piece of junk. Skip it get a Maytag with a big basket.

Great Dishwasher

It is quite, efficient, and holds more than our old washer. Great selection of features and does a great job. Would recommend to anyone. Do yourself a favor if you buy one. Get the hose install kit. It makes instillation a whole lot easier.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Kenmore = Great Value

This is truly a great dishwasher. I previously had a very expensive ASKO dishwasher made in Sweden. It lasted 6 years and had multiple issues in its life. After walking into my grandparents home and seeing they only bought Kenmore appliances I decided to give the brand a try. This dishwasher is great, its quieter than my last one, about half the price, and the dishes look amazing afterwards. Plus, you can easily add a dish to the cycle, it features a 1 hour wash cycle which is great for entertaining as it gets a load of dishes done between the main course and dessert, something we used today and it worked wonderfully. Whirlpool manufacturers this and markets it as Kenmore. Buying the Kenmore brand means you get a lot of extra features, like the turbo zone for cleaning heavily soiled dishes and adjustable racks on the top level. The comparable Whirlpool did not have those features. Because Sears has Whirlpool make this and they buy in bulk, those features are unique to Kenmore and Sears hopes it draws consumers to the brand. At least thats what the salesperson said. I had the dishwasher installed, which as another reviewer said cut out the sales tax in PA, not sure for other states. Intallers went above and beyond with the hookup but I had to adjust the mounting after they left because it was far from level in all directions. Small issue that was an easy fix but required two additional holes drilled into my cabinets that aren't visible. That was my only pet peeve. I have since convinced my parents to buy the comparable dishwasher and may have talked someone else into one today. I should work at Sears. Anyway, this is a good pick and got higher ratings than most of the Kenmore Elite dishwashers. I got this during the Memorial Day sale and saved a bundle. I will be replacing all my appliances with Kenmore as they break! One more thing, I'm not certain but I think this dishwasher is made in either Canada or USA, NOT China which is a huge plus in my book.

Dishwasher

This dishwasher kenmore dishwasher so far seems like a good value for what I paid. ($444.99 plus tax). There were some issues with delivery and installation and it initially leaked because the parts shipped were not properly tightened but after that got fixed we have not had any issues. It is attractive enough and has a versatile top rack that makes it easier to load if there are taller dishes. The glass rack that can stabilize the wine glasses is also nice. The inside is stainless steel. (I would not purchase a dishwasher with plastic insides). It is very quiet if you stack it well however if you do not stack it well and if you put pots in it then it can be very noisy. The dishes and silverware are very clean and do not spot as long as you also use the Jet rinse additive. Heavily soiled pots and pans to not get clean so don't expect miracles. Overall it seems like a good product / value for the price.

DISHWASHER

So quiet you can't hear it filling or running. Tried the turbo zone for the first time last night and the dish came out perfectly clean.

Quiet! Works Perfect.

Easy install. In fact, it was built by the same factory as my old dishwasher (KitchenAid), so the new one fit right in. Delivery was exactly in the middle of the promised 2 hr time window, and the machine was operational 1 hour later (self-installed). It is so quiet that I was not sure it was running. No longer have the slight residue the old dishwasher left, but it is new with a new water pump, operating at new spray pressures, so better performance was expected. Only issue... there are too many operating button options to choose from. We'd be happy with a simple "ON" rotary ****, but this was on sale.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Looks and works great!

This dishwasher replaced a 20 year old Kenmore. I didn't need a new one quite yet, but my husband suggested getting a new one, so I jumped on it. I really wanted the stainless steel interior. The old one was white plastic and was stained. The capacity is larger than the old one. When you open the door, it lays closer to the floor. The top rack is adjustable and can fit my taller cups. The flatware rack is about the same as the old one. I do miss the little catchall rack on the top front of my old one. I like to have a place to put the sippy cup inserts and kiddie utensils. My old one had a grinder/disposal so I didn't have to worry about food particles. This one you have to clean a filter about once a month. I hate cleaning appliances that are supposed to clean things. My old dishwasher had a delay with choices from 1 to 6 hours. This one has a delay, but only for 4 hours. Not really a problem, but I liked the choice. Some of the options I don't think I will ever use, I am a basic kind of girl. The two biggest things for me are that it seems to clean extremely well compared to my old one and it is unbelievably quite. Can't even tell that it is running. Actually thought we installed it wrong because it was so quiet. Hope this one gives me another 20 years!

Installation was a B**ch! ... Cleans well and is quiet

Sears dropped the big box with this dishwasher off at our house...they would have left it outside, I think , if we didn't ask them specifically to bring it in the house. They told us nothing. I thought they would help install it or at least give us information as how to install it.My hubby had installed our last 3 dishwashers himself but it had been a while. He and my 18 y/o grandson got this machine installed but it took two long, very unhappy days and ruined my counter top...It still sticks out a couple inches because it was too deep for the space I had my other dishwashers in. I have now had it a few weeks and love it. It holds the same amount of dishes as my old machine but it is so much quieter and dishes get very clean. Regular wash takes 3 to 4 hours but the one hour wash does just as well in much less time. I like the button panel and choices. I tried the turbo wash twice and it got the back pans clean without hand scrubbing. I am still trying to figure out how to clean the filter. It was a great deal for a great machine but for heaven's sakes get someone to install it because Sears did nothing.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
