Kenmore 24" Built-In Dishwasher with Turbo Zone - Tough Cleaning

This Kenmore built-in dishwasher 1326 offers the most highly technological cleaning features to scrub away even the toughest stains and stuck-on food particles from your dishes. Only from Kenmore will you find rotating spray jets that ensure that your dishes are brought to their absolute cleanest. Included is a state-of-the-art stainless steel drying tub that gives you improved drying performance. The Kenmore built-in dishwasher is also equipped with nylon racks that have been proven to withstand wash after wash.

  • TurboZone® with Rotating Spray Jets uses 6 pressurized spray nozzles to blast through tough, stuck-on residue and foods like lipstick, oatmeal, cheese and baked-on egg.
  • The ENERGY STAR® qualified UltraWash HE System uses up to 40% less electricity and 68% less water than some dishwashers, for a powerful clean that uses fewer resources.
  • The SmartWash™ HE Cycle automatically adjusts water and energy use to the load size and degree of cleaning needed, helping save valuable resources.
  • The UltraWash® HE Filter traps food particles and keeps them from re-entering the dishwasher, so water is cleaner and dishes shine bright.
  • With Delay Start, you can load the dishwasher, select the right cycle and delay the wash until you're ready.
  • Built to resist stains, shrug-off corrosion and increase heat retention for improved drying performance, the stainless steel tub delivers service that shines.
  • Cut down on hand-cleaning pots and pans by quickly raising, lowering or removing this adjustable upper rack, so there's always plenty of room for those larger items.

Very Pleased
This dishwasher is very quiet though you can hear it some. It would be fine for an open space. It is quieter than my niece's Bosch at 52 db. A full load is quieter. No out of sync noises that can be irritating. Draining is only noticeable in the sink drain. The door is easy to open and close and stays in the position you leave it rather than slamming shut. Easy to change upper rack position with the two levers. I have found that it is not necessary to use the heat dry. Any cup or glass not tilted on its side is going to have a few drops of water on it even with the heat dry. Just open the door, take a dishtowel, and press on tops of cups. Some reviews amaze me what they expect a dishwasher to do. It has manual filter clean and no food disposer which makes it quieter. Therefore, I don't know how it would do if you leave large food waste to dry on dishes and expect the dishwasher to make it disappear. I usually don't have dried on food or at least scrape dishes before but tested it on plates with egg ketchup & mustard baked in the microwave. All came out clean on Normal cycle including flatware smeared with cream cheese. The flatware holders hold my very thick handled flatware to my surprise. This actually turned into a feature that I really like. Load from the front with spoons cupped forward. Racks are tall enough to hold stemware without lowering the top rack. It must be the tall tub. Stemware holders help. I have not used the turbo zone yet but it is a nice feature. Stouffer's makes better lasagna than I do. This model was on sale at a very attractive price and its sister that did not have the turbo zone, easy lower top rack and stemware holders. The difference was just $40 so I went for all the bells and whistles. The cycles and options cover every possible situation you may have. I rate it much higher up the scale than **************** did. Take CR reviews with a grain of salt. I am glad I did. Very pleased and delivery and installation bundle was well worth it. I didn't have to worry about a thing and you don't have to pay tax on the installation making picking it up and installing it yourself a questionable move. The install people were great going above the call of duty fixing a previous hook up that was strange and would not have worked with any new dishwasher.

I HATE THIS DISHWASHER
This dishwasher does not hold enough dishes to worry about washing. My previous dishwasher (a Maytag) could hold large cookie sheets on the sides of the bottom, but this one is too low between racks. If I fill the bottom with plates, then slide the rack in, all the plates fall forward against each other making it impossible to clean them, So I have to reach in and stand them up again. My dessert bowls or small salad bowls do not fit conveniently, and I can only get about 4 of them in the dishwasher in the space that should hold 10 or 12. The glasses in the top rack keep falling over, and do not fit nicely in the place they should go. There is very little flatware space. The designated places to hold individual forks or spoons are too narrow for the handles of my flatware, and my flatware handles are not unusually wide. Don't waste time on the Turbo Jet Feature. When you set something back there, you lose space where other things could go. And it takes several hours to wash using the turbo jet setting. I only use the one-hour wash because I dont have time for a 4-hour wash since the other half of the dishes are waiting their turn. The one hour wash is not energy efficient but I just cant do this all night long. This machine will not hold a 9 x 13 baking pan standing on the side because the space is only about an inch and a half instead of two inches. I did not have high blood pressure until I bought this piece of junk. Skip it get a Maytag with a big basket.

Very pleased!!

Purchased this dishwasher online including installation. Sears guy called to tell me when he would arrive, he took my 21 year old Kenmore away and installed the new Kenmore. This new machine is very quiet and great at cleaning everything. Now my refrigerator sounds loud. I would definitely recommend this unit to a friend or family member. I hope to get another 20 years out of this unit.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Stay Away!!!!!!!!!!

We've had this dishwasher for 2 years and made a major mistake in not buying the extended warranty. Shortly after a year the heating element went out and needed to be replaced. After replacing the element the dishwasher worked for another couple months when thermostat quit working. Turns out it was a flaw from the factory and was installed wrong. Well this issue melted the tub severely since the heating element would get so hot. In the end we replaced the thermostat and now the dishwasher leaks from several places (not all in relation to the melted tub) and needs to be replaced. Stay Away from this model!!!

Great Dishwasher

This dishwasher meets our needs perfectly. It looks nice, it works great and we love the turbo wash. I like the design as well, with the silverware holder on the side rather than on the door like some designs.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Excellent Dishwasher

I bought this to replace a 10 year old Kenmore dishwasher. It is very quiet and cleans very well. The only issue is there is no latch to release the door on any of the dishwashers anymore. My wife has a tough time opening the door, but as I said, that seems to be how all of the dishwashers are made these days. Overall, we're very pleased.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Quality product at the right price.

This is a very nice dishwasher with great features that conserve energy while getting dishes very clean. My only complaint is that the installation instructions were not complete/clear, so pay attention to how your old dishwasher comes out as you'll need to reverse those steps to install the new dishwasher. The instructions also said the hose kit (purchased separately) would include a strain relief for installing the power cord but it did not so I had to pause the installation to run to ******* to buy a strain relief. The dishwasher should come with the strain relief rather than assuming the hose kit will have it included. Otherwise, the installation went well and it's a pleasure to use!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Very Quiet

This dishwasher replaces a Whirlpool. We have a large family, so our dishwasher gets a great deal of use. This new dishwasher cleans the dishes, has flexibility in loading (large or unusual size pots or dishes), and is exceptionally quiet. We can stand next to the dishwasher, and not hear it running. One negative: the magnet that holds the door closed is very strong. You need to tug very hard to open it, which flexes the control panel -- I'm not sure if that's going to be a problem over time. We're very happy with the Sears installation service -- professional and efficient. They arrived almost exactly when they said they would.
