Kenmore 24" Built-In Dishwasher - Powerful Cleaning
Combining powerful cleaning with a gentle touch, the Kenmore 24" built-in dishwasher 1329 tackles the toughest grease and baked-on foods while being a safe and gentle way to wash your fine china and crystal glassware. The SmartWash HE Cycle helps save water and energy as it automatically adjusts output for each load, as the Kenmore UltraWash HE filter keeps food particles from interfering with continuous cycles. The stainless-steel tub on this built-in dishwasher traps in heat for more efficient drying and is resistant to mold and stains.
- The ENERGY STAR® qualified UltraWash HE System uses up to 40% less electricity and 68% less water than some dishwashers, for a powerful clean that uses fewer resources.
- The UltraWash® HE Filter traps food particles and keeps them from re-entering the dishwasher, so water is cleaner and dishes shine bright.
- The SmartWash™ HE Cycle automatically adjusts water and energy use to the load size and degree of cleaning needed, helping save valuable resources.
- The China Gentle cycle washes your finest crystal and most delicate plates with a gentle touch, so you don't have to worry or wash them by hand when it's time to clean up.
- Built to resist stains, shrug-off corrosion and increase heat retention for improved drying performance, the stainless steel tub delivers service that shines.
- Cut down on hand-cleaning pots and pans by quickly raising, lowering or removing this adjustable upper rack, so there's always plenty of room for those larger items.

Purchased this dishwasher as my old one was 16 years old, quite noisy and leaked. What a difference!!!! Clean dishes and NO noise when it is running. The installation was quick and professional, no problems at all.

All of the problems I have read with this POS are exactly true! I have wasted so much money from broken dishes from the rack falling apart that I should have spent the extra $800 and bought a GE. The adjustable rack on top was a great selling point...thinking that I could easily wash wine glasses...they were right about the "you can raise it up and down part," but they should have emphasized the "it comes down all by itself part"...all the way to the bottom! Yep, it's quiet....so quiet that you can't even hear your Waterford crystal crunching like it was in a Craftsman mulcher instead of a dishwasher. Completely turned off by ever shopping at SEARS...no wondering they are struggling!
I am very happy with my new Kenmore dishwasher, it really looks good in my kitchen. I love the clean lines. It seems to work very well, my only regret is that it doesn't have a visible indicator light for when the cyle is finished. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the purchase.
And after going to ********, Sears and ******* and checking out just about every model/brand out there I decided on this dishwasher (Kenmore Ultrawash Stainless Steel / Stainless steel Tub model 13293). I liked a few of the Elites and counterparts to this one made by Whirlpool but I didn't want to spend that much money on a dishwasher yet I wanted a quality piece too. I picked up this model (13293) for $599.99 at Sears, after discounts, installation and the 5 year maintenance agreement I only spent $839.99 all together. I had a 2000 Whirlpool Gold that worked fairly well so I looked extensively at Whirlpool, Kenmore and checked out Bosch too a lot. Bosch racks slide out of the entire dishwasher easily so I scratched them. Whirlpool actually makes all of Kenmore?s dishwashers so the differences in quality and craftsmanship are negligible between the two. I decided on this Kenmore Ultrawash and I am not disappointed at all. Back in the 2000's, an acceptable dishwasher decibel level was 65 so this thing being 51 makes it sound non-existent in my kitchen which has hardwood floors. The buttons are easy to use and it washes great. I overfill my dishwasher all the time, especially the silverware tray, and everything has always come out clean. I had a problem with my old one not cleaning the silverware properly because the rack was on the door which a reason why I went with this Kenmore. The lower basket size still fits just about the same amount of bowls and dishes as my old Whirlpool even though the silverware basket is now in the bottom basket. The upper basket holds all of my cups, especially the really tall plastic ones that my old dishwasher was unable to accommodate. There is a lot of room so I put my large utensils in the upper rack too which get cleaned just as well. The silverware tray is large enough that I can fit all of my pairing knives, cutting knives, etc? as well as measuring cups in it. I also am able to wash my child?s small cups and plastic utensils in the basket as well which is huge for me because my normal plethora of silverware still fits too. The dishwasher itself looks flawless both inside and out. My 2 year old daughter can't pull the door open and not having the controls in the front where she can see them is a very big plus. The door can open and it holds at any angle too. The drain tray at the bottom of the tub that you have to check is very easy to access (in the front) and I've only had to check it once every two months and there is rarely anything inside of it. They recommend using the tablets instead of powder or liquid gel. I have used liquid gel from day one and it works perfectly. I really can?t say enough about this dishwasher. I?m one of those guys that literally spent hours upon hours over the past 6 months reviewing every dishwasher imaginable and every brand. I hope this helps those of you that see a dishwasher as a very big expensive purchase because it was for me. 5 STARS!
So far I have been very happy with this dishwasher. It is so quiet I have to really listen closely to tell if it is running. Dishes are well cleaned even when they sat for 2 days before cleaning. Washing time is quite long so don't expect clean dishes quickly and some water remains on top of glasses when finished.
This dishwasher is made by Whirlpool for Sears and uses the infamous Whirlpool W10350376 Rack Adjuster, which means that every 12-18 months, the tiny plastic prongs holding the rollers will become brittle and break off, eventually causing the top rack to fall off and requiring another $50 in parts to be purchased (one for each side). This design flaw is present in the replacement part as well. Stay away from any dishwasher that utilizes this flawed adjustable rack design from Whirlpool (including 68 separate Kenmore models, 62 Kenmore Elite models, and 84 KitchenAid models)

This unit is very quiet. Sometimes I can't even tell it's running. It is great to be able to start a load when still entertaining and your guests can't hear a thing. I almost exclusively use the one hour quick wash setting and it does a great job, even on pots. The only thing I would change is that every time you interrupt the cycle to add something that you missed, you have to re-push the start button and sometimes I forget and the load sits until I open it again, which could be a day or two. I would have it automatically start back up when I close the door again. I would recommend this dishwasher to anyone.
