We've only had this dishwasher for about 2 months, so I can't speak for its longevity. However, I am extremely happy with this dishwasher's performance. Depending on the detergent I use, the dishes are always clean. (Not sure if they allow brands to be used in these reviews, but the sample of detergent included with the dishwasher is my least favorite for use. It often leaves residue. I have not had that issue with other popular brands.) I rarely rinse or scrape food off the dishes before loading them, and I don't find food particles left on the dishes after washing. I have cleaned the filter/screen a couple of times, but they didn't seem to be caked with food like I expected. The wash cycles are really quiet. I can't even hear the dishwasher in neighboring rooms, and our house is pretty open. I have used the quick one hour wash once. The dishes didn't come out as clean. I have used the high temp wash and heated dry once, and they seemed to work well. The temperature of my hot water (~130 degrees) seems to be enough to clean the dishes on a regular basis, and I usually just prop the door open for an hour or so to let the dishes air dry. Water spots are only an issue on the plastic dishes when I air dry them, and again, this depends also on the detergent used. Normally, I use the smart wash cycle or the normal cycle, both of which take an enormous amount of time. The timer usually reads about 2 hours and 22 - 30 minutes at the beginning of the wash, but it's not uncommon for it to take 4 or more hours, no matter what the timer reads. That is my only complaint, but if I scraped or rinsed my dishes, this might be much less of an issue. I'm very happy with the amount of water the dishwasher uses (7 gallons at its worst, usually closer to 3 if you don't use the quick wash). In the instruction manual, it states that the long wash times are due to its water efficiency, so it really is a small price to pay for saving water. One thing I'm neutral about is the place where the timer is located. It is on the upper edge of the door, and my countertop covers it. I can see it if I crouch down, but I can imagine that being annoying for many people. All in all, I am extremely happy with my purchase, and I hope it lasts for many years to come.

We were very surprised how quiet this thing is, and the dishes come out super clean and DRY! We hated how our old unit left water on tops of cups after the drying cycle but this one does not. I also like that it has a top spraying unit for top rack. Our main dinner plates are a little extra deep so they have difficult time staying in upright position on bottom rack. You may want to check your dishes in this or any other unit before buying. But that is not a negative for the unit - just my plates!
I am very pleased with my dishwasher. It is roomy inside and can hold large items. It is extremely quiet. I love that the control buttons are on the top ledge of the door as opposed to my old one that was out front and easily bumped into as I had to readjust my settings from time to time.
The process from ordering the dishwasher in the store to scheduling the installation was handled very professionally. The installation process by Sears was professional and quick. There were not any issues. The noise level from the dishwasher is low and it cleans the dishes well. I would recommend this dishwasher.
I am delighted with my new Sears Kenmore dishwasher. The stainless interior, nylon racks and easy to use hidden controls make the dishwasher worth every penny we paid for it. It cleans very well and does not smell. It is easy to load and has lots of room.

My wife and I need a dishwasher for our newly renovated kitchen. We wanted stainless steel outside and for the inside rack. The saleslady recommended this one. It had the look and features we wanted at a reasonable price.
I must have gotten a defective dish washer. Yes it is nice looking, and I like the stainless tub. But I only own this dishwasher one week today. This is the second time I used it and I had to hand dry all my dishes and silverware as well as cups and glasses. The middle spray arm seems to retain water so when I pull either one of the racks out water drips out of the middle spray arm. The machine retains condensation throughout the whole machine, door included. Its not like I open the door as soon as the cycle is done. Today I waited hours before I emptied it. I called customer service this past tuesday I was told the condensation will disappear . It takes at least a month for some kind of coating to dissolve by the jet dry. I was also told that I have to make sure I run the hot water in the sink before I start it or I won't have the right temperature for washing and drying, One hour wash barely dries the dishes , I found I had to hand dry them all because there isn't separate drying cycle like my last Kenmore. So I did normal wash and still having the same problem. I replaced my old one because it wasn't washing well. I never had to dry the dishes and silverware with my old Kenmore (16 yrs old ) When it was installed I noticed the vent was not all the way past the cabinet, I didn't notice until they left. I mentioned that to the customer service person who said he wasn't sure he would investigate it and get back to me, I'm still waiting, I just hope it doesn't warp my cabinet, or create condensation on the cabinet and cause mold to grow. Installation person was not very friendly.
