I have a Kenmore Genesis softener that was not recharging properly. . My water has a lot of iron in it and I do not have an iron filter. After first cleaning the venturi nozzle, I bought some of this stuff. I first used about half of the bottle in the water softener and that really cleaned up and recharged the resin tank. I then put about a cap full in the toilet tanks. That application dissolved all the rusty gunk on the tank walls around the ballcock and then cleaned the rust stains in the bowl. I have also used this product to whiten the grout in the showers and periodically make up a solution to clean the sinks and vanities. The fumes when mixed with water are pretty potent so make sure you have adequate ventilation.
This product works really Good. I added a half a bottle with warm water to my softener and the water is now like it was when I first bought the softener. Not all Sears stores carry this product. The one Mall store used to carry it but they dont anymore. I was lucky to find it in another store near by.
I was having a problem with the water flow. I read the reviews and decided to purchase this product to see if it fixed the problem and sure enough it did! Absolutely thrilled with the product.

Very simple instructions to follow. Easy to use and works quickly. You don't need to use their service which charges outrageous prices for a 5 min. job. Read your manual to troubleshoot and keep your money in your pocket.

I also was experiencing lower water pressure than normal. My softener was about ten years old and did not think it needed this cleaning but apparently it did. However I do not think it will be necessary to apply the cleaner every six months.
