Unit looks good and has plenty of nice features for the price. Compressor failed at 9 months. Lost $500.00 in food. When is someone going to wake up in manufacturing and marketing and put low temp alarms on home refrigerators?

I was so disappointed by my last fridge I was glad when I was finally able to replace it. This one is so much nicer. The layout inside allows for more available space. The temp is much more constant. And it is very quiet. I am very pleased with this model. Now, if it just lasts a long time it will be perfect.
After 12 years of service, our 21-cubic-ft Kenmore refrigerator failed. I was initially interested in finding an LG-branded unit, but after comparing this Kenmore to the similar 24-cubic ft LG, I concluded that they are essentialy the same unit, and an employee of the local Sears store confirmed it: LG manufactures refrigerators for the Kenmore brand. Pros: The top-freezer design may look old-school, but we find it functionally superior to bottom freezer and side-by-side models...not to mention it is generally less expensive. This particular unit has all kinds of space, and some thought went into the design. It has a drawer for meats and cheeses that is the whole width of the fridge. The door can hold so much you might not even need the rest of the fridge. The LED lighting looks great and should last the life of the fridge. The icemaker is convenient. Cons: The day after purchasing this unit, it went on sale for about ninety dollars less. This refrigerator is not going to impress your friends because it is a conventional top-freezer design, nothing special to look at. There is no water dispenser, although for more money, you can buy a similar unit with the water dispenser. For several hundred dollars less than this unit, you could opt for a slightly smaller refrigerator that may serve your needs just as well. Other thoughts: This refrigerator is ideal for a family. If you have a spot that can handle the height (~67.5") and you appreciate the ease of use that goes with the conventional top-freezer design, this is a spacious option for you. If you are considering purchasing online and having it delivered, our experience in that regard was excellent. I ordered online in the afternoon, and then I got a robo-call in the evening confirming the delivery window (it's a two-hour window) for the next morning, 7am-9am. They called around 8:20am to let me know they would be there shortly, showed up at 8:30am, and had no issue getting the new unit in and the old unit out. They hooked up the water line for the icemaker as well. They were very professional and friendly. Whichever refrigerator you choose, I can recommend ordering online from Sears and just having it delivered...although you will probably still want to go out and look at them, touch them, open the doors, etc. to help in the decision-making process.
Our new Kenmore 24 cu. ft. Top Freezer Refrigerator with the icemaker is just what we wanted. The shelves and drawers are in the right place and it give plenty of room for large bottles and even small yogurt cups. Just the right spacing for everything we need. Love it.
Have had this refrigerator for a couple of months now, Despite what the other reviews said, This refrigerator is quiet. Love the roominess and the water dispenser is great. The only very small issue is the LED lighting in the fridge isn't quite as bright as I'd like it to be, should be one in the back as well as the sides. We had to change the doors to open the other way, that was a challenge. But over all, I would rate this refrigerator as Excellent. It does everything I expected it to do. Looks great in my kitchen too!
I've had this refrigerator for a couple of weeks. It is definitely very quiet in spite of what I've read on other reviews. Also, it gets very cold. My thermometer shows a refrigerator temperature of 36 degrees and the thermostat can be set colder if I wish. The ice maker doesn't seem to work as fast as my old refrigerator but that's likely just a problem with my perception as the ice bin is much larger than with my older refrigerator. The only legitimate complaint I can agree with is that the refrigerator compartment is a little bit dark. The led lighting is amusing and it puts out plenty light. However, since it's built in to the sides of the refrigerator rather than at the top, it doesn't light up the back of the unit as well. That's not a deal breaker for me. In fact, a friend of mine will likely buy the same refrigerator on my recommendation. It's a large unit and it's priced right. Hopefully, it will be as reliable as my other Sears appliances have been. Time will tell. In the mean time, I will enjoy the room that this large refrigerator freezer offers.
I really wanted to love this Frig for all the cool things it has going for it. It 's got lots and lots of room. But the noise level drives me crazy and I am a rock musician almost deaf as it is. I can hear the loud hum right now from the other room. I've had this frig for over a month now and I have not gotten use to the noise yet, but I'm hoping. A Sears Service guy came to the house to check on it and told me this is normal for the cheaper models because they put in cheaper compressors. That made me feel great. BUYERS BEWARE!!!

We've had this for about 3 months and it is very quiet. It replaces a 20 year old Amana so we expect that the energy efficiently will be improved. The temperature settings on the light 3 is adequate where we live (San Francisco where it is cooler and never gets hot): freezer at 0 F and the refrigerator at 33 F. The door storage is very generous and holds milk and drinks well. All foods are properly kept. The crispers are sort of a joke but the little vents are opened accordingly. The inside of the refrigerator is lit by two panels of LED's on both sides toward the front which looked really nice in the showroom. Practically speaking, it lights only the items in the front making the back center unusually dark. It's too bad the design couldn't have faced the LED's a bit more in the main cavity or have a set of LED's in the back. There is a bit more effort in searching for items toward the back of the refrigerator and having it only for three months, nothing so far has been loss in the abyss of this unit yet. There's no problem with the freezer light and things are lit well there. Also, living in San Francisco our kitchen is in the rear of the house accessible through a hallway and a dining room door, which both measures exactly 28.5" wide with molding, door removed. The refrigerator is 29" and the installer removed the door molding with a few whacks of a hammer and chisel. It was pounded back into place after the refrigerator went into the kitchen and the repainting is up to us. No big deal. Energy wise this is a Tier 2, which is energy efficient. We looked at the Tier 3 but it was a bit smaller in capacity and wouldn't fit our needs. One other point, the door of the refrigerator is full length. That is the door extends pretty close to the floor. Our old refrigerator and most other units have the doors about 3 inches from the floor. We've all caught our toes on the doors at least once and it was a quick reminder that the doors are full length. We learn quickly! Overall, we're happy with this unit's efficiency in storage and energy use. Also it's very quiet. But consider "The Dark Side" limitations if that is a factor for your purchase. And watch out for your toes! PS: Forget the extended warranty. The Sears brand should hold up well for years to come.
this refrigerator is extremely noisy when motor is running...but the worst issue is the LED lighting in the main part of refrigerator...It gives very little light , thus it is very difficult to see what is in the refrigerator....luckily we had 3 days to use and found this out...so we returned it.
