Works Great!

I bought this mini-fridge almost six years ago to use in my office at work. It has worked flawlessly and keeps everything cool. I've actually only defrosted it once (last summer), and it was a simple process. Roomy and well-laid out, this fridge has been a great workhorse.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great little fridge

I had the fridge for a year and a half then gave it to my grandma who still uses it in her bedroom. In total I think we have had it 3 years now. It keeps everything nice and cold. The freezer compartment isn't that great, but works good for getting a beverage cold fast. Best small fridge I've ever owned.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Kenmore 2.7 compact refrigerator.

This is a great little fridge. We got it for an emergency and it has done a wonderful job. It does have a tiny freezer that does a very good job with the ice cubes.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

good job

We got one of these for our work with 3 employees and it has more than enough room for all of our lunches. the only problem and this my be our fault, is that the freezer can get built up with ice over time. But other than that it is very spacious and gets the job done.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

It is ok for the price and size.

We bought this for my wife's mother who is in a nursing home.  It is just the right size and it is priced right.  As seems to be the case whenever we buy something from Sears, the packing crate was torn and showed evidence of rough handling.  Therefore there was a dent and scrape on the side of the unit and the thermocouple was knocked out of place.  I asked for a different unit and of course they told me this was the last one.  It took some time to regulate the temperature and the freezer is too small but the refrigerator is adequate for what we paid and for its need.  I wish Sears would get it togther in their shipping department.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Could be better for the money it costs.

I bought this fridge about a month ago. I needed a minifridge quick because I was transferring into college; nobody seemed to have the right size fridge and we spent a while looking for one. We settled on this one because it was cheaper than some other models, but for 125 bucks (after tax and stuff) the fridge could be better.

The pros:

* it's big enough for lots of bottled water, juice, soda, etc.

* it does have a freezer that actually freezes things

* it's not very heavy so its easy to nove around

* it cools down fast from first plug-in and doesn't take long to cool down food/drinks

The cons:

* it gets very loud at night sometimes; not loud enough to wake you from sleep, but if you're trying to go to sleep you'll notice it. I feel like it makes almost as much noise as a full size refrigerator, but only for about six minutes at a time

* the freezer section hardly fits a small Ben & Jerry's ice cream in it because of the shape of the freezer; its very tiny, and to make sure things stay frozen I have the thermostat up to about as cold as it gets (the drinks are also nice and cold this way)

* setting the unit on carpet makes it fairly hard to open the door; there is apparently a way to level the legs but we haven't gotten that far yet

All in all, the fridge was an okay-buy. It does what it's supposed to do and I haven't had any real issues with it yet. If you really need a fridge fast, this will do for you.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

QUIET and cools fast

This refrigerator replaced my old one from he 70's decade and believe me it's great! A lot less noise, my old unit had a loud 60 cycle hum where's this unit just makes a hissing sound and my old one when reading the freezer compartment area reads about 20 degrees F with an Inferred thermometer where my Kenmore unit reads -6 degrees F and below my thermometer's range.

The door to the freezer came off when the Ice formed and I would get a loud popping sound just after the unit turned off and also had to run the thermostat up higher. The Ice build up also reduced the efficiency of the refrigerator. But just after removing all of the Ice the unit would get cold quickly with the -4 degree temp and as far as replacing the door I left It off with no problem at all for frozen items.

One other note to mention was that the mounting of the thermal couple is mounted with a small plastic piece which snaps onto the freezer plate and came loose, so as to be very careful when allot of Ice forms not to break this thermal couple element and the instructions says to defrost when your at about ¼ inch of ice! But other that that's it's the best refrigerator I've seen it cools down fast and is very quiet.

I remounted the thermal couple element with a heavy paper clip to the back plate and the temperature sense is fine but am now at 4.5 on the temperature thumbwheel. Not bad -7 degrees F,  but would't try to crank the temp control all the way up!!!

I would recommend this product to a friend.
