I brought this unit on-line and it was delivered the next day. Unfortunately the refrigerator never got cold. After 24 hours I called Sears and they sent a technician out the next day. He told me that this is the 3rd Kenmore of this same model that was dead-on-arrival. He took off the back panel and showed me the cracked coolant line, where the coolant leak was coming from. Also, these models are actually made by LG in their Mexico factory. Everyone from Sears have been very helpful and nice. However, they say it will take 8 days to get the replacement refrigerator delivered because they do not have anymore in the warehouse, I find that hard to believe. The fridge is very nice looking and when I get one that works I will be happy. I hope this warns/educates someone else before they make their purchase.
This fridge is the worst piece of junk on the market. We bought it in Sept. 2011. In June 2013, we spent over $300 to repair the "board" as the repairman called it. It took 7 or 8 days for the repairman to get the part. We also learned that the Kenmore name and reputation we thought was top of the line wasn't even representative of this product. It's actually an LG and a complete LEMON. Now in January 2014, the exact same problem we repaired in June is happening again. DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE or any other "Kenmore" fridges.

We were very limited as to any refrigerator that would fit in our tiny condo, and wanted the freezer on the bottom. This fridge is perfect, although the galley kitchen is so small that the door hits the counter if we open it all the way.
This fridge has alot of space and I love having an ice maker instead of having to buy ice in bags, it also keeps my food fresher longer then my old fridge did.
We purchased this fridge to replace a 15-year-old unit (another brand) because we wanted reliability and a bottom freezer unit. For us, it's quite spacious and the gallon-jug holders in the door are a very nice feature, as is the subtle 'beep' when the door's been left open for too long. We've only had the unit for 2 weeks and are 100% pleased with this purchase.
Really happy with my new purchase. I love the design of the refrigerator and it is easy to understand the temp control. Just like the old Kenmore fridge that I owned for over 20 years.
We spent over $1,000 on a regrettable purchase. The door baskets are not strong enough to hold common items you would think of putting there: milk cartons, juice containers. The baskets crack and the items fall out. the baskets should have been made of vinyl coated wire, like the giant freezer basket, or made of heavier, stronger plastic. the interior shelving is also too flimsy for many items, such as leftovers in a ceramic casserole. we are a family of 2 adults and this refrigerator cannot store enough food if you enjoy cooking your own meals. It is only sufficient if you are buying prepackaged foods. I would give this refrigerator only one or two stars but am going up to 3 stars as it is reliably and sufficiently cold. This is not the refrigerator for you if you enjoy cooking as it is suitable for limited purposes.
