Pedestal Fan
I searched the whole web for a decent pedestal fan. I walked into sears to purchase a Lasko fan model because ****** required $18.00 in shipping. Then I saw these Kenmore fans and asked if I could look in the box. It had a weighed base, so it does not tip over. It had a very solid cage. So I took it home and put it together and it works very quiet. It is the best fan that I have had in ten years. I only really saw **** for the price, but someone at sears designed this product without **** in mind. I love this fan. Thank God ****** forced me into a store.

Worked fine for a few months
I bought two of these. The chances of two items going out within a day of each other I would expect to be slim or none. But not these. One day apart, both stop. You can hear the motor trying but nothing. Aggravated! Just over the return limit time!

Only lasted a few months

The worst fan ever. Don't waste your money! The top is too heavy to angel up at all without it falling back down....it started making a noise a few days after using that continued to grow louder and seemed like the motor was struggling. It lost power by the week. I would have to stick my finger or something inside the cage to manually get the blades to start near the death of this fan. Now it does not turn at all and you can barely hear a low hum indicating it's not completely dead but dead enough for the trash. I tried lubricating the shaft and other areas as told to try but nothing worked. VERY dissatisfied with this product. Expected much more from a Kenmore product.

Broke in a month.

We bought the fan because out air conditioner broke mid-summer. It worked fine until a month later when the fan completely broke down. The motor will run but the fan will not.

Worked fine, then broke!

It started out great. We were having a heat wave and I bought this fan for my mother. It was on sale for $39.99, so compared to other fans, thought it was a great deal! Put it together fairly easily by myself. The base is nice and heavy so it won't tip over. She used it for a couple months. When changing the height of the fan, the plastic piece broke off and now can't be adjusted, so I'm returning.

Started out as a 5 and ended as a 0

I loved this fan. It was sooo quite and moved some air. I have always used Lasko fans and when this fan worked, it out shined the Laskos. I bought the unit at the end of May and it died in mid Oct. Granted most the time it was left on 24/7, but my Laskos ran for years. I am very disappointed. Expected a much better product. Guess its back to Lasko fans.

Disappointing product performance

I bought 2 of these fans on 5/31/2013. Things started out well - they were on sale for 50% off and I was pleased at the price/value considering that the fan had a weighted base, metal construction and the Kenmore brand name. However, after assembling the fan and attempting to angle the oscillating head "up" (vs tilting down at the floor), the fan head proved too heavy to stay tilted up. My dogs appreciated this but it was not ideal. This was the case with both fans. In addition, after less than 4 months, the motor on one of the fans will not always start the blade and often requires a "manual start" to get the blade going. (I accomplish by opening one of the cage clips and shoving my fingers through to give it a little push.) I have owned dozens of Kenmore products and these sure are a disappointment

18" Oscillating Stand Fan w/ Remote

Lot more than what I expected for the price. I use it in my garage down in central Texas. It has no problems circulating air around the two car garage. Fan is built with a very strong base and components. Motor is quite and remote works like a dream. Fan is a Kenmore and what else needs to be said. I'm very glad I brought this fan.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
