Had freezer door not sealing correctly. Was adjusted, but still waiting to see if ice forming in freezer will finally go away. Otherwise, another service call will be needed.

Bought this on sale for almost 50% off, to sit in my garage as an extra fridge/freezer. Even though I spent much less than normal price, I still think it is expensive for how poorly designed it is from an appearance point of view. I decided to keep it since it was only sitting in the garage and since it seemed to work as a fridge/freezer at least. The PROS: When on sale it was the cheapest stainless fridge I could find. Wanted some class even in my garage since it is a nice garage with stained concrete, painted walls and trim/shutters. The CONS: The build quality of the doors is terrible: stainless is just wrapped around and there are open seams in the corners where you can see the spray-foam insulation. The door handles can be swapped to either side, but to cover the hole that is not used, there is only a cheap looking plastic cover/plug that does not blend with the stainless. I would be embarrassed if I was the engineer who suggested that solution and I would not use this fridge in my kitchen. The compressor is loud, I would not use this in my kitchen. It does not come with a ice maker even though the photos show one and the Sears representative said it would.

As several reviewers have already stated, the freezer door handle has a sharp edge which my head hit several times when bending down to get things out of fridge. Fortunately, I didn't end up in emergency room like one reviewer but it is a hazard. Also, the latest problem is bottom fridge door shelf comes off if you open door abruptly. Last time it fell off and broke. So now I need a new shelfshelf. I'm going to show it to my local Sears store and hope for a free replacement. On the plus side it does keep things cold!
