Purchased one for myself..loved it. Friend was looking for a fan so told him abought mine. We went to Sears in the town where he lives and puchased the same fan. We both like them. They are quiet so does makes it easy to sleep on a hot night.
This fan is a mixed bag. Cheap quality - I had a very hard time getting it assembled because the plastic parts that snap together on the base weren't cut to fit each other. Once I got over that hurdle, I have only praise for this fan. Quiet operation, and it pushes a surprisingly large amount of air for its size.

Looked like a bargain but assembly very difficult. Manual sometimes says "fan" and sometimes says "heater" (see item #1 on page #1 of the manual), so you just have to wonder, you know? I wouldn't have bought this fan had I known that assembling it was going to be so difficult. I would have shot the darn thing if I had a gun. I was never able to get it completely assembled. A complete waste of money.
It was on clearance. Good price if it could be assembled, but it could not by me. I returned it and bought a box fan that works great and is probably quieter than the table would have been, but I don't know.
