So far after i bought this item it has been great for the season here in NYC. It gets really REALLY cold for the btu rating. For living on a top floor apartment where it gets like an oven in the summer, it has kept the temp at bay for the last few hours now with the energy saver feature. I would reccomend this to every person looking for an affordable unit and is still a brand name product. Just make sure you have an elevator apartment, it does weigh about 70 lbs and lugging it up four flights of stairs is a bit of a pain but totally worth it. Overall satisfied!
I was happy with it's cooling capacity. It kept our bedroom cool. We bought the unit 2 years ago and kept it in the box during winter and plugged it up in the spring. 18 months later it stopped working. Thankfully we paid $65 for the 3 year warranty. The repairman told us it would have cost around $300 to repair. The computer chip went out. He said it was common for this product.

Cools large area well,powerful fan.Fan noisey,compressor quiet. Energy saver setting is B.S.,cycles unit off and on for 15 seconds or so during evening use. Left on Cool setting, cools large bedroom,closet and bathroom very good.(640 sq. ft.) Still don't understand why 10% appliance discount did not apply,but it was warm and in our small town nobody else had any AC available. A bit of a gouge there I guess. Like the product still do not understand this not being an "appliance". Wife is happy !!!!!!
