Kenmore above range microwave
This is my second Kenmore microwave. After having a different brand for a few years, this is what I'm experiencing going back to Kenmore. Pros: 1. The two level rack is very handy. 2.The controls are very easy and clear to use, pleasant dings to let you know food is done. Cons: 1. The very dim, useless cooking light is A VERY SERIOUS DESIGN PROBLEM. I really miss my last one with a good light. 2. The other con is a minor one but a nuisance. When you choose your type of cooking, for example (potato) you have to also press start. My last microwave began as soon as you press the control choice so more than once the cooking hadn't begun and I didn't realize it. It will take a while getting used to it.

Kenmore over range microwave

This the 3rd microwave installed over the last 3 weeks,   The first one was an inferior product, very cheaply made.  I feel Sears should take this out of production.  The second microwave was missing a part for installation. The third one was upgraded (spent more money), and is not the same quality that was in the store.   All three of the microwaves that were ordered were white.  If you compare it to the stainless steel, the white ones are not made the same way.  Very cheap metal bottom compared to the stainless. I thought all the same product was made the same.(I guess NOT). I am trying to decide if I should also pursue this 3rd microwave and return it also and maybe try another brand.

I have never had any problems with Kenmore Appliances and certainly do not want to start now.

Kenmore Elite Refrigerator

We are so pleased with our recent purchase of the Kenmore Elite French door refrigerator in stainless. It makes such an outstanding statement in our kitchen. It runs so quietly. We purchased the 25' one and it is very roomy. I particularly like the pantry drawer and the option to rearrange the shelving to our particular needs. We have received many compliments on our choice.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Lacking in convenience features

It's fast, has a really good fan and good lighting for stovetop, but is not very convenient to operate. Does not have express settings; defrost settings and soften/melt settings cumbersome. Door does not fit well and closes like a very cheap product.

Over-the-range Microwave Oven

We bought this microwave to replace a microwave oven that was only 2 years old. We like Kenmore products and are hoping that this microwave will go the distance. So far, I'm just learning the features of this microwave but find that it's easy to use as well as attractive. It has a microwave-safe rack that essentially doubles the usable space.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

hood bulb makes this a stinker

Bulb died in one month. impossible to find replacement bulb model in manual. various expensive replacement bulbs don't work. Sat moldering on the phone until sears told me they won't replace it oen week post-warranty. Finally relented and agreed to replace it. Great, but I would have preferred not to spend hours and repeat trips to the hardware store just to replace a basic bulb that should have lasted more than a month in the first place. Also, this model doesn't have the basic one-minute cook option that seems standard for microwaves. Touch sensitive buttons aren't very touch sensitive, so you have to hit them repeatedly to get a response.

Engineered by a idiot

I had this microwave for three months when it went out. No panel display at all. Called for repair. The problem was a bottom thermostat tripped. It was replaced. This thermostat in the microwave is right above the super burner on my Kenmore stove. So when you use your stove it trips the thermostat ( I think). My microwave is higher than the specs call for. It tripped again last week. I called sears parts direct because my owners manual and schematic didn't have the part number listed for the bottom thermostat. Came back finally with # 51 on the on line diagram or part # DE47-20034A. I bought two just in case. They arrived today and they are the wrong parts. I called Sears parts direct and explained my problem. The rep told me to go to Google images and look up the four thermostat part #'s to see if one of them looked like the part I need. I told her that was crazy. She has sent something to Kenmore to find the right part number. Sears and Kenmore, never more!!!!!!!!!!
