Good value for the price
I have the black version of this microwave, and I could have given this a five-star rating except for one issue: The part of my kitchen where I have room for the microwave is not particularly well lit, and the controls on the front -- white text on black background, and the font is not large -- are almost unreadable. I used to have a white microwave (black text on white background) in the same spot and had no difficulty. Not a major flaw, and it won't be a problem for most people, but someone with similar lighting issues might find it worth considering.

Hot outside cold inside
Our old microwave would just about boil over oatmeal in1 min 45 sec. This one took 3 times using 2 min each time and it still wasn't cooked. The outside of the microwave was to hot to hold your hand on it. I will not get another one.

Microwave

I love this microwave. It has 1-9 buttons that are preset for that amount of time. The start button will re-start for 30 seconds. It will still fit a 13 x 9 pan but small enough not to look so big on m y counter.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Easily broken

Bought the item online for my mother, only to have the item not working at all the moment it was setup at home. Returned the original item and get the replacement item, which I ended up waiting for almost an hour to actually get the item, only to have item broke down about a week later when I was out of town. Had my mother returned the replacement, had a sales staff convinced my mom that the fault was not the microwave but because there was no surge protector between the microwave and the power source, and talked her into buying a surge protector that I later asked my mom to returned it back because it was not necessary. Still crossing my fingers in hope that third time is a charm...

Better than Most

I heavily research whatever I purchase. These days, it kind of drives me crazy, because there is so much junk out there. And junk is exactly what I found to be the case in the current "microwave world." I've read where most all microwave hardware is coming out of China, and from what I've seen, I'm guessing that's true . . . I really wanted a convection, over-the-range microwave. If there had been one that looked reliable, I would have purchased such. However, I just couldn't bring myself to pay that much for a product that didn't get great reviews. So, in the end, after researching every microwave out there, I settled on this one. Yup - the "Power Level" button doesn't work and the tray is unsteady / wobbly, just like I read in other reviews, but for $150ish, I guess it will have to do for a couple of years - I hope . . . :(

ours was defective

The particular microwave we bought was defective -- the power-level button did not work. Since we had to return to the store anyway, we decided to return for a refund (the machine just didn't seem to be well-made). The upside is that Sears was easy to deal with for the return.

Excellent Microwave,Easy to clean Looks nice

I love the performance of the microwave. I think it would be better if the time cook button was as large as the quick 30 second button. But not a big thing if you heat in hole numbers because when you hit the 2 button it is 2 minutes or the 3 button is three minutes etc.I would recomend this unit on its performance.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Total Garbage - Beware of Faulty Door!

Have been a Sears Kenmore customer for over 30 years, and this microwave is the worst appliance I've ever purchased. Bought this one month ago, but this is the 2nd one! The first was badly dented out of the box, so returned for the one I have now. This one WON'T TURN OFF or heat. The cancel button will not turn it off - nothing! The door is defective causing it to do these things. If you slightly lift the door while closed, you can turn it off, otherwise it will not stop running; I had to unplug it. Used MAYBE 10 times since purchasing, and tired of returning microwaves, so this one will be replaced by a different brand from another retailer, and I will deal with this nightmare after the holidays. Be warned of faulty door!!!
